The lighting in the sky bar was perfect. It's bright enough and really didn't need extra lights. At least that's what we thought

Thank you!!!

The decor vendor suggested (and added an illumination panel with lighting and roses).   Will delete that item off the list.

Question:  For kids at the wedding, was there a separate menu for them?  Or do they eat what the adults eat ( at the cost of $45/per person).

I don't think you need it. Not one person thought it was dark.

They have a kid menu pricing. They give you two choices. It was less then $45 a kid.

Our wedding colors were orange and blue. We did mostly orange with accents of blue. Bridesmaids wore orange and blue dresses 2/2 turned out yo me 2/1 cause my MOH was not allowed to fly.

Luzdary told me that Sky Bar would not need extra lighting either. What kind of exit are you guys planning to do from the Sky deck? If I keep Sky deck as my reception venue, the only decoration I was going to add was a chandelier above the sweetheart table. The view is so gorgeous up there that I think you could get away with minimal decoration to cut down on costs. My main worry is if we move it to a ballroom that I will prob need to spend more on decor...

My wedding colors are Mint and Peach. My BMs are wearing mint dresses and I am really hoping to do peach flowers for my bouquets but the picture quality in the flower brochures are really bad so I can't tell if they will come out more pink or orange.

I am interested to know what yall did/are doing for Ceremony music. ipod? dc? etc... And how many songs do we need? I am so clueless...

Thanks for the input everyone on the lighting.  I really have minimal decor.  Just upgraded table settings, did rectangular tables w/ garlands of flowers for the tables, and tiffany chairs.  But that's about it.  I am having a wedding a the stone gazebo.  Does any one recommend any added decor of flowers to be added there??   I don't want it to look bare, i was hoping the view and the paradise feel would be enough?

I am not sure what to do about music.  They have ipod docks and speakers I was reading previously.   Any song recommendations and playlists would be awesome!

Anyone have a copy of what you guys wrote for the wedding program?

We did iPod for ceremony. Through a few songs like 3 just to have running incase I ran late. And the one song for me to walk into. Only decorations we did was the tables I got rectangle wood tables and wood chairs. I did candles on the tables with petals that I brought. I kept it simple. The costs were so expensive. Our alt location if it rained was one of the restaurants and the decor inside them was nice too. So it worked no matter what. The issue is you have to plan ahead so I just kept whatever I had at sky bar I'd have in the restaurant. No table cloths and white napkins. We did a burlap table runner on the table. Everything I brought from home we had two suitcases for supplies. I showed them how I wanted it they did everything. Not sure if the link to my photos is any where I'll grab it so you can see

Hi Brides!

I have a question about room block rates, we have about 50 guests and want to get an idea of the percentage given off for a group room rate ?

This question applies to anyone I am trying to decide whether using a travel agent or directly with the hotel

Thanks in advance!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
