A week is about right. They don't respond from Thurs-Sun they are doing weddings. I'm 3 weeks out and it's the same thing a week. Put all your thoughts in one email if they don't answer everything then make sure your bullet pointing and outlining each question. My emails look like if I was outlining a meeting with people.

So for example reception I underline it and bold. Then bullet each question regarding the reception.

They have a language barrier as well so this makes it easy to narrow down an look at.

We didn't do a visit either it was not open. We did see beloved and tried the food it was great.

I'm now emailing the spa to schedule all my appointments.

Hi everyone ! I'm new to this forum and planning to get married at this resort. This forum has been extremely helpful!

I'm booking travel and hotel accommodations through Funjet. I have a date in mind and just need to book my room to confirm the date.

1. What rooms did you all stay in for your stay? How is the finest club junior suite ocean view? Is it a nice view of the resort?

2. My cousin is a guest staying at the resort and is an amateur photographer and wants to take photos for our wedding as a gift to is, would they still charge me an outside vendor fee??

3. Do they allow sparklers to be used on the terrace or beach?

Thank you in advance !!!

Make sure you book your date before you book anything.

We went through destination weddings and that helped coordinate the hotel rooms and your guests. I'm glad I didn't have to do any of that. Then you just deal with the wedding stuff. They also get you group rates.

We are staying in finest swim out suite. We get an upgrade as well which would move us to the family suite based on agreement and availability. I have friends staying in all sorts of the rooms in a few weeks.

I'm flying my photographer in. He is a guest and attending the wedding no vendor fee for this.

They do allow sparklers. I'm waiting on a quote from a vendor.

@@texheather yes, I've stalked them like crazy and am proud about it.

I will say what's disappointing is their lack of responsiveness. Maybe I'm just used to how quickly vendors here move, but as an anxious bride, I kind of expect answers within 2 business days. I know they're super busy, but when you're so far from the destination, you need something to put your heart at ease.

Good luck with everything I hope you have a blast!

@@SusanMarie813 OMG I'm so glad that I saw your post about the photographer and the vendor fees. Ours is a professional who just so happens to be a family friend.

Did you have to explain this to Finest or did you still use their in-house photographer but just for something else?

@@SusanMarie813 I am getting the gold wedding package too and am a little confused by some things. Is there a photo package included in the wedding pacakage price (and if so, which package? Packages 1-7). It seems like it's insinuated but it's not clear whether you get an hour of photo or etc.

Also are the bride and groom's flowers an additional cost or do you just select the flower code that you want based on the wedding package you're getting?

Did they really hold you to the 90% of the wedding party must stay at the resort?

Gold flowers you get to choose from the gold choices in one of the Flyers I posted. I'm actually not using them I'm using real touch flowers instead that I'm bringing. Great Etsy vendor I'm using. I was not a fan of the ones in the book. Wasn't not what I wanted.

You get 24 photos. You can choose for them to come to your reception or the ceremony. They will shoot and you get to pick 24 photos. I would say an 1 hour they will shoot. You can email Beach Studios they answer quickly.

I'm actually using them for TTD photos instead.

Yes they do hold you to anything in the contract.

That's why I went with DW they helped with all that. And even though they have a contract they added extra perks. That Finest won't add directly.

Let me know if you can't find the flower file. I can find it and repost

Hey ladies if you're using DW get with your planner as the rates recently went down on the Finest.com site and I was able to renegotiate my contract rates!!!!

It was awesome cause it Saved everyone money!!!! Some were even able to add an additional night and still have a small price decrease!!!!!

@@SusanMarie813 thanks so much, and yes I'm using DestinationWeddings.com. I hate their flowers too, and would rather pay for artificial flowers that I can use as a decorative piece in my home decor afterwards!

@@lizzjameson thanks for the heads up! I hope those prices stay the same. I feel like it's all a marketing ploy to make it seem like they're this uber luxury place (not to say that they aren't, but having the prices crossed out does nothing for me). My fiance and I are hoping to nail down our date while we're there for the site visit in November. We really hope it lives up to the photos and videos that we've seen, cause we're tired of looking! LOL

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
