Greetings Fellow Finest Brides! I have just been told about this group & am so excited to have found you all.

My wedding was just moved here by one of their "sister" properties & is scheduled for October 17, 2015. We are a little nervous about having a wedding at a place that is so new, but I am eager to dive into this forum and learn all I can from you ladies.

First question I have is how promptly do the wedding coordinators tend to respond when emails are sent? Is email the best way to communicate with them?

Thank you in advance for your wisdom :)

Best way is email and about a week in between emails. Put all your thoughts on an email. Bullet point everything and section it. Then send. Start a new email of questions you think about but don't send until you get the first response. This keeps the confusion down. A week seems to be the turn around.

@@NE112015 - do you have the catalog with floral options?

@@SusanMarie813 we are planning on having our reception on the sky bar deck and I am going to do Tiffany chairs and gold chargers and flower centerpiece (PC09 and PC29 from the resort catalogue). Also I am going to ask to add some string light bulbs over the dance floor. I wanted to do little tequila bottles as my escort cards however found out they are $11 per Blt based on the pricing from the company The resort works with. That's a little expensive since I am already doing welcome bags that's taking a big chunk of my budget. So I am going to have to find a different option. Do you mind sharing the price for the DJ and what's included? Are they the same ones working with the resort or is a vendor you are bringing in? I'm already bringing in my own photographer that I have to pay vendor fee for

@@airsusie, I am new to the board & being a Finest bride. For some reason I can not get to the album in your post. Would love to see your pictures :)

hi all! we got back from our wedding this past weekend and it was amazing! the weather was perfect for all our events and everything went off w/o a hitch. we are in awe at how smoothly everything went. we had such a fantastic time and are still getting non stop messages and notes from our friends about the weekend. i am so excited for you all to have this experience! a special treat was meeting @@AandM2015 there!  obvi, we don't have the professional photos yet, but our friends have been posting and sending pix, so i put some of them together into an album for other brides so you can get a sense of the venues and backdrops for all the events. pictures are easier than describing. enjoy!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
