Unique Destination Wedding Guest Book

Recommended Posts

Hello ladies, I am thinking I want some type of "guest book" for the wedding, but want something unique, small and something that will travel well.  What is everyone else doing...?

Thanks!

I am using postcards! I got my friend to pick them up for me when she was in Mexico but it's also an easy one to get at the resort. I stamped the back of them with our info and people will place them into a little case/chest after :)

I wanted something to look back on from them and laugh! I assume the jokers will make some memorable comments. And it's nostalgic. Is that the right word? :)

Yes as far as the wedding stuff goes! Ironing out a few last details with the WC.

Have ALOT on the go here like hair, nails, legal marriage Saturday!!! So busy busy

I'm doing postcards too! My fiancé and I are getting there before the rest of the guests, so we're going to take a walk down the beach to the town of Puerto Morelos where we can find the postcards for cheap :-)

Definitely. I got 40 for $18!

This is not in any way MY original idea...I saw it on here somewhere...but I think we might do the "message in a bottle" idea where your guests write a message or advice on a slip of paper and put it in a bottle. Then you read them on a later anniversary (maybe 5 years). I'm sure our group will give us a healthy mix of sentimental and hilarious notes that'll be fun to read later!

Great idea!!

Fiance's mom is doing a time capsule for us. She emailed all the guests and she wants us to open it in 5 years.

I love it! I find something so romantic about the time capsule idea. Sometimes I force myself to stop and think back on us in the earlier days of our relationship because, if you don't, it is so easy to forget those memories!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
