You had that Fisher Price Doctor's Kit with a stethoscope that actually worked.

And played it with the cutest boy in the neighbourhood, Teddy Roberts

You owned a bicycle with a banana seat and a plastic basket with flowers on it. Not to mention the tassels on the handle bars and the sparkly paint

You learned to skate with actual skates (not roller blades) that had metal wheels.

And wore a cool jacket, short's and hat with a pompom on it, all in satin of course!

You thought Gopher from Love Boat was cute (admit it!)

And we all wanted to be Julie

You had nightmares after watching Fantasy Island .

But still wanted to visit

You had either a "bowl cut" or "pixie", not to mention the "Dorothy Hamill". Pixie cut was oh so cute, I could only dream of Dorthy Hamill hair with all my curls

People sometimes thought you were a boy.

You had rubber boots for rainy days and Moon boots for snowy days.

Don't forget that we graduated to Muck lucks, you know those great shaggy boots that the snow stuck to in clumps and by the time you got home you had 10lbs of extra weight on your feet

YEAH! You owned a "Slip-n-Slide" , on which you injured yourself on a sprinkler head more than once. < /SPAN>

Oh good times

You owned "Klick-Klacks" and smacked yourself in the face more than once !

Or better yet your brother

Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession.

Not to mention the bedspread, wall paper, lamps, and the whole collection of rag doll's where Amy was my personal fave

You wore a poncho, gauchos, and knickers.

Still do, hehe

You begged Santa for the electronic game, Simon.

We had to settle for Kerplunk, and pick up sticks, and who remembers paper doll's?

You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple satiny shredded outfits, or the sunshine family

Or the bionic man and woman an d the skin actually peeled away to reveal their very cool bionics

You spent hours in your backyard on your metal swing set with the trapeze. The swing set tipped over at least once.

not to mention all the stuck tongues in the winter

You had homemade ribbon barrettes in every imaginable color. (Oh yeah! )

and the matching knee socks

You had a pair of Doctor Scholl's sandals (the ones with hard sole & the buckle). You also had a pair of salt-water sandals.

oh the day's of style

You wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder really bad; you wore that Little House on the

Prairie-inspired plaid, ruffle shirt with the high neck in at least one school picture;

Oh once again we were stylin

a nd you despised Nellie Oleson!

But oh how we envied her doll collection

You wanted your first kiss to be at a roller rink!

Mine was, mmmmm

PONG! ("video tennis" ) was the most remarkable f uturistic game you've ever heard of !

Oh the edge of our seat tournaments we had

Your hairstyle was described as having "wings" or "feathers" and you kept it "pretty"

and maintained it with our butane curling irons

with the comb you kept in your back pocket.

And the boys were always stealing them

When you walked, the "wings" flapped up and down, looked like you were gonna "take off"

The bouncier the better, and washed with "gee your hair smells terrific"

You know who Strawberry Shortcake is, as well as her friends, Blueberry Muffin and Huckleberry Pie.

All the cool kids did

You carried a Muppets lunch box to school and it was metal, not plastic.

Mine was Leif Garrett

With the thermos inside some were glass and broke the first time you dropped them.

And rusted your very cool lunch box

You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of Hazzard was your boyfriend.

And who was hotter Skarsky or Hutch, Starsky for me!

YOU had Star Wars action figures, too!

Oh the fun we had beating each other with our battery powered light sabre's

It was a big event in your household each year when the "Wizard of Oz" would come on TV.

Even better if you had a coloured t.v

Your mom would break out the popcorn and sleeping bags!

with the flannel cowboy and indian inside of the sleeping bag

You often asked your Magic-8 ball the question: "Who will I marry.

It was a toss up between Leif and Shaun Cassidy, and let's not forget about Parker Stevenson

Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or David Cass idy?"

You completely wore out your Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and Fame soundtrack record album.

Fame came later and if you were a child of the 70's you would know that

You tried to do lots of arts and crafts, like yarn and Popsicle-stick God's eyes, decoupage,

or those weird potholders made on a plastic loom. Let's not forget about maccermae, and rug hooking

You made Shrinky-Dinks and put iron-on kittens on your t-shirts!

With sayings that said great things come in small packages, and purrr-fect

You used to tape record songs off the radio by holding your portable tape player up to the speaker.

or up to our record players that came in one piece and had a handle so we could bring it to sleepovers

You had subscriptions to Dynamite and Tiger Beat.

and covers were always cute boys not railthin models

You learned everything you needed to know about girl issues from Judy Blume books.

(Are you there God, It's me, Margaret.)

Yes she was the bible of teenage girls

You thought Olivia Newton John's song "Physical" was about aerobics. (?? its not??)

Again not the 70's, tsk tsk

You wore friendship pins on your tennis shoes, or shoelaces with heart or r a i n b o w designs.

You wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer.

Oh the wonderful gibb brothers

You drowned yourself in Love's Baby Soft - which was the first "real" perfume you ever owned.

In a roll on

You glopped your lips in Strawberry Roll-on lip-gloss till it almost dripped off.

Oh how pouty our lips looked

Thanks for the trip down memory lane, but does anyone remember tassle jeanshuh.giflol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
