Newbie! Most Likely Getting Married In Cabo!

BB2015

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone! I just got engaged over Christmas! YAY! And we are wasting no time planning. My fiancé, Brett, and I live in San Diego, CA. I'm from New Hampshire and all of my family is still there while his family is here! So instead of making one family travel we figured we would make them all :)

I have to admit I am very overwhelmed and confused with all the information, places, options,  reviews, etc out there. A friend highly recommended this site and after taking a peak through it I can see why!

I welcome any advice, tips, tricks you all can give.

Thanks!

Brooke

Congrats and welcome to the site!! There is no shortage of information here that will help you on your planning journey!!

First off, I would definitely recommend a travel agent. They will work with you and help you decide what's important to you in a resort along with all of the other details - pricing, how many guests you might have, time of year that you want, etc. They will quickly become your BFF!! And I would highly recommend the owners of this site - Wright Travel. They're in CA too!! They're destination wedding specialist and have relationships with top resorts as well as information on various perks that might be available to you depending on your choices. Here's the contact link to get in touch with them.

Once you have your venue decided, check out the forums and reviews here and see what brides past and present are saying. I would almost guarantee that whatever your questions, they've been asked here at least once!!

Good luck and happy planning!!

welcome Brooke!

Ann is right, the first step is to find a good travel agent.  I am part of Wright Travel Agency (you can read our reviews in my signature) and we are destination wedding and honeymoon specialists.  We LOVE cabo!!  I got married there and have great connections.  Our agency was just there in July as well doing site inspections.

We would love to help answer any questions you may have :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
