Wow!!! That dress is gorgeous! The sample fits you like a glove! Don't worry about the no make up, you look great..you don't need it!

I see what you mean about the shininess, must of been the flash....it doesn't look shiny on her website.

So what kind of shoes are you thinking about getting? I know you were thinking of flats but then you sent me the pic of those strappy heals...are you getting married on the beach?

@@Meandhim Thanks! I'm small on top so they essentially are making me a dress with a small top and a medium bottom, so I'm hoping the only alterations I'll need are getting it hemmed and putting in a bustle.

Our ceremony will be on the beach and then reception will be indoors. I KNOW that flats are the rational choice since I'll be barefoot for the ceremony (I got some barefoot sandals on Etsy) and then I will want flats later when I'm dancing. Plus no one will see them anyway, but it is hard to picture such a fancy dress with a flat that I would wear on a normal day. Plus my fiance is tall. I need to figure it out for my alterations appointment on 4/18 for the hem!

I definitely prefer a sandal and would love something with a strap across the toes and the ankle, versus a t-strap or flip flop (like the Payless ones I showed you). But I also ordered these to try because I like the color. http://www.dillards.com/product/Gianni-Bini-Roycee-Jeweled-Sandals_301_-1_301_504890211?df=04375309_zi_mint_to_be&categoryId=456289&scrollTop=0

It is weird the things I've been indecisive about that I never thought I would be. This is one!

Those are pretty too! I love that color! I never wear heals so flats are my everyday choice and that's why I wanted them to be a little bit more special. It's hard to find something simple yet special....thank god for you! You really saved me! What are the colors of you wedding? Are you more of a silver or gold person?  I will keep my eye out for shoes for you!

Yeah there are so many things I've come across now that I thought I would never care about before either!! lol! like shoes! Jewellery is another one! I find all the wedding jewellery is very fancy and blingy...I'm not fancy or blingy lol. Its looks great but because Im not used to it I'm just too uncomfortable wearing it. What are you doing for jewellery?

I agree on the jewelry too! Some of it feels too fancy for the beach. I guess that is my problem in a nutshell - finding the right level of fanciness for pretty much everything. I want to be beachy and relaxed, but it is still my wedding!

Our colors are turquoise and royal blue - the colors of the water! I'm going with silver, I think primarily because I found this cute comb for my hair. I'm not wearing a veil and we're using starfish on a lot of our stuff (the resort logo is a starfish) so I thought this was perfect for my hair.

For earrings I got these with the blue stone, which I still worry is too fancy. But I think that is the only jewelry I'll wear. I don't think a necklace will look right, so that makes me feel better about the blingy earrings! I got them on Etsy and they should arrive this week.  I'll probably skip a bracelet too, just because I don't feel like I need it! If I do a bracelet it'll be really simple.

It is hard to picture it all when you don't have your dress either! I hope when I pull it all together that it looks like I envision, but it is so hard to tell

Those are perfect!! I almost did something similar!! Just remember that no one sees your feet so wear what you want and are comfortable in :)

I know i'm a little late to this thread, but you should be glad you didn't buy the second dress.  I have a body type similar to yours and I tried that on.  I thought it was cut in all the wrong places and the satin finish made it look cheap.  (sorry if someone else on here bought it, but it just wasn't my style).  The dress you bought is beautiful.

on a separate note, I've seen some very dressy brides on beaches, and they still look fantastic.  I wouldn't worry too much about a little bling.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
