When To Give Bridesmaid Gifts?

Recommended Posts

I'm planning on giving my girls their gifts at my shower (either before or after, not around all the guests).  Like @@calgarybride2015 said, I have enough stuff to bring down, so I don't want to lug down a bunch of tote bags when I don't have to! Plus, that way they'll know what they have so they don't bring down anything they don't need (like I'm guessing they'd already have brought down some kind of tote, so if they already have this one they won't end up bringing two). I was with you though--a part of me really wanted to give it to them while we were actually there in "wedding-mode," but I think it's just more practical to do it before.

First I think your gift ideas are great! If you want to enjoy with them you should definitely do it before the wedding. I'm planning to have a DIY SPA day with my beautiful bridesmaids the weekend before my wedding day. That way we are all going to be ready for the trip and can spend quality time together.

I ended up giving the gifts the night before when we did a quick rehearsal. Mind you, mine didn't have makeup or anything in it, just hangers for their dress and a robe for the next morning. I paid for everyone's hair and makeup though, so that was part of the gift.

  • 3 weeks later...

I was thinking about having breakfast or lunch with the girls and moms and giving them out there... then that means I will have to lug them to where ever we eat. Or while we are getting ready. I ordered them custom bags already, I plan to order them hangers, maybe a rollerball perfume, thank you cards, maybe personalized flasks, sleepshirt.. I have 8

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
