Costs Pp Of Destination Wedding

Thank you ladies! I have been getting quotes from Sunwing and other companies like it....I really am not finding any difference in the prices except that, like you said, the n'th passenger goes free. That is maybe $100 off per person. We're looking at a group of 30 (plus us)

Hi Petra, if you are really organized and determined you can build your own package. Contact the hotel directly and coordinate your flights.

Dimps - did you do this? How did it work out for you? I just contacted the hotel to see what the prices would be.. but I'm afraid the flight costs would be too much coming from Toronto!

You need to work with a TA not just direct to that tour operator, it's your best bet on getting added perks at your resort and the best pricing.

Hi there, do you have any suggestions or do you suggest using our local travel agent?

A few of us in canada are using Laurielee she is awesome... And has great relationships out there. If you were in the US I would recommend owners of this site- wright travel hands down best in the states.... Laurielee.ca is her website if you want to check out who a few of us are using.

$100 off is a $100, better than nothing IMO. At the start we were about $100 less but as time went on and until our flight and resort sold out it was close to $500 less we paid.

I also agree go to a TA not just the airline. They can work better deals, etc. Local or not isn't an issue but one who has some experience with destination weddings is a good idea. I'm in AB and mine is in BC. She was great.

Being Canadian I don't recommend doing flight and resort separate. We have one guest doing this as they are moving and weren't sure when and it's costing them soooooo much more.

Were you able to do this and get perks?

I got 2 free trips and an upgrade to first class. Well worth using a travel agent.

Things work different in Canada and I assume the OP is Canadian as Sunwing is a Canadian company.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
