Weight Loss For Hot Wedding Pics!

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

I just got married at the Grand Sirenis Mayan Riviera this past April 2014.  Before going away I found some workout programs that have really helped me to tone up and lose all that extra weight.  Unfortunately, I didn't get down to my goal weight before going away.  Life happened, some very unexpected events happened just prior to the wedding and I went through a very rough patch.  This coming April will be my husband and I's (grammar sorry) 1st wedding anniversary.  I want to go away again to celebrate and I want to ROCK a bikini!!  And I'm actually thinking of bringing my wedding dress with me to do a trash the dress photo shoot because we weren't able to afford it in April.  So long story short I want to help as many brides get to their goal weight as possible.  Please post if you are interested in getting fit and fabulous before the big day! :)  Cheers!

We had a great time at the grand Sirenis.  If you are dealing with a specific wedding co-ordinator do not be surprised if when you get there you are dealing with someone else.  There are about 4 or 5 of them and it seemed like they all just jump in where they are needed.  As far as pricing.  Bring EVERYTHING that you have as far as documentation with you.  Every e-mail that you had.  Every single thing.  There were a few times where I had to pull out an e-mail and say "uh no, this was supposed to be included in my package."  The actual wedding day, there is nothing to stress about.  They do weddings every single day.  AND THEY RUN ON MEXICAN TIME!  This means do not be surprised if your ceremony was to be at 3pm and it is 3:15 and no one has came to your room yet.  Our ceremony was at 4 and it was 4:15 before I even left the room.  Everything is beautiful though.  The food was excellent.  We got the palapa, and when we came in after getting pictures done everything was piping hot.  We had the mariachi band play as well and it was great!  Enjoy your day.  If you have any other questions let me know.  Congrats!! :)

I have been using 21 day fix by beachbody. It's a 30 minute workout with a easy meal plan and I've been seeing great results :) I hve also become a beachbody coach if you have any questions I'd be more than happy to help

I actually pushed my ceremony forward from 330pm to 300pm because I was worried we would start late and we wouldn't have enough time in the light for pics!

The big thing I am struggling with right now is the timing of the night -- I wanted to enjoy a tiny bit of the mariachi, then have them do cocktail hour, but I think most people do mariachi with cocktail hour combined.  So looking for opinions on that.  I also thought cocktail hour could be in the palapa but it's on the beach?  It's not a big deal, just assumed it would be in the palapa.

Did you use the spa for hair and make up?

Thanks!!!

So we had the wedding around 4:15 (it was short about 15 minutes long).  When the wedding was done they had an area all set up with the mariachi band, appetizers and champagne.  We chatted with guests for about 15 minutes.  The set up that they have is very impressive!   The food is laid out very elegantly!  You will not be disappointed.  The only thing I would suggest is if you have older guests maybe having a couple chairs brought for them to sit on.  Then I did some pictures with all the guests.  When it got to just wedding party/bride and groom pics.  They shuttled all the other guests back to one of the restort bars where they could enjoy some drinks.  (I had beer brought to where we were getting the pics done for the wedding party, but it cost $ per drink.  I didn't think that was necessary since we were all already paying to drink but they were going to charge me and I wanted the money to go other places)  So when everyone else went to go drink.  We got the rest of our pics done.  Then my favourite part of the day we actually had time while everyone was arriving back and being seated in the palapa for us to sit on the beach.  Have a beer and just relax for a few minutes.  It was AMAZING!!!  Loved it!!

Then when everyone was back they introduced us.  We did the speeches right away (we only had a few people speak so they were really quick)  And then ate and had the best party ever!!  I want to do it again!!

Thanks!! Sounds fantastic.

I've opted to have open bar at the beach and/or palapa and not shuttle people. Don't want the hassle of people not making it back, etc :)

Hi,

Technology has changed over a period of time and there are many equipments now a days to loose weight and that to be without doing any exessive exercise. You can use CelluBlue to eliminate those extra fats from your body and specially from hips and thigh area. It is very easy to use, safe  and affordable. You can look here for direction to use. I am definitely going to use it and lets hope for the best.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
