Wedding is in about 6 months and everything logistically is falling into place beautifully!

I have just secured my last vendor (all of which are really nice and helpful).

PM if you want the deets....

She's a baker by the name of Carla and her bakery is Pasteleria La Migaja. She is on Facebook. I do not think she has an official website.

She is SO warm and very quick to reply.

That paired with her beautiful designs, numerous flavors, and fair price made it a no brainer.

If any ladies are needing to hire a baker near PDC check her out!

Very pleased!!!

Interesting, I never thought to order a cake outside of the one at the resort. However, Dominican cakes are my favorite.. YUM

I could be mistaken but I think she's marrying at an off site location!!

Yes, I am marrying at a beach club. The bakery I had in my mapchick near my venue was no longer in business... and then a pretty popular cake maker in Cancun had a delivery fee that was justifiably high bc she would have to come all the way from Cancun, so we scratched that idea. After a couple of days I found Pasteleria La Migaja.

We are doing a lemon batter with raspberry filling. :))

Hi all.... please refer a travel agent for my guest to book at DRM for my wedding weekend. Majority of us are coming from Chicago. Help!

This is a thread about cake so your request may go unnoticed- but Wright Travel (the owners of this site) are the best in destination wedding travel and I would 100% recommend them for Canadian Brides. reach out to Tammy or Wendy and they will be able to assist.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
