i am having trouble deciding on shoes for my bridesmaids. we have short mint dresses and i have bought gold haviana flip flops as part of their gifts. i was thinking for the most part they could wear those as the ceremony is on the beach and for the reception who wants to dance in heels? but i have flip flops and mint heels that i found so i thought for some pictures and for dinner i would wear my heels so thought they could do the same wear cream heels. dresses look so much nicer in heels. one of my bridsmaids wants to wear heels. we also have limited luggage allowance and i dont want them to go buy heels just to wear for a couple hours..... and if only some wear heels and some flip flops for pictures i dont think it would look right.....ahhh i am confused lol please help

I think nudes or metallics would look good w/ mint. Do you care if their shoes match? I just told mine to wear any heel in nude or gold. 1 bought a new pair and 1 is wearing a pair she already has

I agree with the ladies above... Maybe pick your color and ask them to get their own. I don't think some in heals and some in flip flops would look weird but I tend to be a bit 'meh' about that stuff.

My ladies are in fuchsia and I got all their accent pieces and sandals in silver.

I like the idea of the nude heels and I would think given the fashion of now, most ladies will have a pair of nudes. I have 2 but I'm a shoe freak! lol Definitely it's something that will work in a wardrobe so maybe you could offer to help with the cost if anyone has a problem, or if they don't already have a pair? The havaianas are fabulous. I have 3 pairs (like I said, shoe freak!) and they are super comfortable. Definitely will work in the sand but I do agree that some nice heels in pics would look good.

I don't think heals and flip flops will look strange. I was in my sisters wedding a few weeks ago and the MOH was in late flip flops and myself and other other bridesmaid wore heals and the pictures look great. I actually had to look back since I normally don't pay super close attention to feet :)

... and then there's some pretty cute wedge shoes too, that would work well on the beach and in photos  - just to throw another option into the mix......hehe

...or how about dressy sandals - like these?.....

Thanks everyone. I don't care if they all match doing gold or nude would work they must have a pair of at least one colour laying around. Finding summer shoes right now could be hard. It's so hard to picture everything in my head so it's great someone has seen a mix of flip flip and heels and it doesn't clash. I think I'll just let them chose then in the colours of my choice.

I think it's a good idea....  atleast then they get to wear something of their style so they will reuse them in the future.

Whatever you chose, I would give them some time... I don't have a pair just laying around - I don't wear heals and most of what I do own is black, just so they aren't scrambling last minute.  Like you said, it's not as easy right now with the season!

It is super hard to visualize things in your head, but I think once you feel comfortable with a decision, the ease you feel gives you your answer :) I was panicking months back about my BM's shoes, jewelry, etc. and now I don't... even though I have never seen it all put together I just know it will look great!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
