Oot Bags - Finally Finished Them! Pics Attached

Recommended Posts

@@cankem80 I can't put a link on here for some crazy reason. Every time I try to, the website freezes up. If you go to Michaels.com, then type in Celebrate It in the search area. I got the Celebrate It Transparent Archival Bags. They were 6 3/4 x 9 3/4. According to the website, they are now out of stock. But I'm sure you can find them online somewhere else. Then I just printed out my bag toppers on card stock, used a paper cutter and stapled them to the top of the bags.

Hope that helps!

I finally finished by welcome bags! Yay! Thank you to so many girls who posted theirs and I got ideas from. This site is the best! If anyone wants any info or templates, let me know and I'm happy to send it to you.

Girls are getting pink and white tote bags and the guys are getting yellow and white. If a girl is bringing her husband, they're just getting a pink one. If a guy is bringing his wife, they're just getting a yellow one. You get the idea.

I attached a welcome tag to everyone's bag which I had made from Etsy.

Inside the bag, I put a petal fold with inserts inside. They included a Welcome Letter, Things to do in Mexico, Wedding Weekend Itinerary, Groomsmen Itinerary, if applicable, Bridesmaid itinerary, if applicable and a Social Media card with our hashtag.

Also inside the bag, I did three separate bags with stuff in them.

I did a Sand, Sun and Fun bag and I put "For Better or For Worse..." at the top of it. We did a logo so I put that on there as well. The bag included Bug Spray (the things that look like pens), playing cards, aloe vera, sunscreen, crayons for our coloring book which you'll see later, and chapstick with SPF.

I did a So Fresh and So Clean bag and I put "In Good Times and Bad..." at the top of it. The bag included a lint roller, tic tacs, tissues, hand sanitizer, shout wipes and gum.

Last bag was a Wedding Weekend Survival Kit. I put "In Sickness and In Health.." at the top of it. It included a recovery kit sack, which had advil, Tylenol, pepto, alka seltzer and blowfish (a hangover cure my fiancé swears by). It also had a First Aid kit with bandaids, etc. and it had a Spanish to Go mini book which I found online.

Also inside the tote bag are a Crossword Puzzle about us, a Map of the resort which I put where all the events are, a key card holder, a koozie and a coloring book.

Then I'm getting chips in Playa and putting them in there too, even though the hotel is all inclusive.

Hope that helps someone!

Your OOT bags are amazing, and so generous! I think you guests will love all of the things you've included.

You packaged everything so nicely :)

Thank you for sharing your templates! Would you mind sharing your room key one? I am looking to do something exactly like that and I love the Spanish translations on the back

@JennyZ  I see you're doing one of the Iberostars. I'm looking at Paraiso Maya. What was the deciding factor for you picking the Quetzal? I really like the PM. I'm just not sure what our price point will be since we won't qualify for a group rate. One of the TAs that I spoke to said since we're such a small group we should just book a couple of months ahead. We would be the month of October which I know tends to be a bit of a low season so what she suggested might work.

Hey any feed back on if your guests used their key card holders? I just ordered mine and hope people will use them! :) lol

Everyone used them. They loved them. They were so nice to have. And everyone used the tote bags too. And the medicines. Of course. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
