2015-2016 Moon Palace Brides

Nice!! I'm not a huge fan of AC, I much prefer Westjet but if AC has better rates then I'll for sure use them.. I especially like the upgrade to the bride and groom!! I'd love to fly first class :P

They aren't my first choice either, I actually would prefer Sunwing or West Jet but they were the cheapest price with the best bonus!  So that was ok for me. We had no problems with them. Everything was on time and all the baggage made it, etc.  First class was a dream, will be hard to go back to economy in August when we go to Vegas!

@@misbosox thanks for the update! I still don't understand how they're going to define what a "professional" camera will look like. My brother in law has a digital SLR camera and I know he'll take photos but he's not our photographer. We've hired a professional and paying the external vendor fee, are they now going to charge us twice if he takes pictures?

@@FutureMrsSam I missed the second part of your question. We chose to use the complimentary package as I wanted to customize and personalize the look of both our ceremony and reception. With the complimentary, you get a restaurant reservation. If a private event, it comes with standard table, white tablecloth and standard chairs. No centerpieces or decor.

Thanks @@Wafflesmom :) I appreciate your input on this :) I'm still torn about what to do but I guess I have time to make a final decision

Quick question: Has anyone had their wedding coordinator stop working at the MP? I tried to contact my coordinator through email the other day, and I got a response email saying it was un-deliverable. And its the same email address i've always used to contact her. I tried to email the coordinator who i was initially in contact with, but no luck so far.....

@@tbone12 I don't think I've heard of this happening at Moon Palace. My wedding coordinator is being moved to another Palace so I'm being assigned a new one, but she emailed me to let me know and we're doing an official hand over this week. Who is/was your coordinator?

My coordinator is/was Alejandra Arias. Whenever I contacted her before, she was pretty good about getting back to me fairly quickly. No one informed me that anyone was leaving..

@@tbone12 that's really strange. Did you go through a travel agent to book your wedding with Moon Palace? If so, he or she can always contact them for you to see what's happened. Or try to reply to a previous email she sent to ensure the email address is correct.

Hello, it's great to see how everyone's plans are coming together. My date is 26th April 2016 at the Catholic Chapel and booked the Immaculate Conception Package in order to get the chapel as we are not actually having a Catholic ceremony, it will be a civil/Christian ceremony. That's the only thing we have confirmed so far.

Currently looking into photographers. Absolutely love Del Sol but they are outside of the budget we'd like to spend when you add the vendor fee.

Our colours are blush and either gold or grey. Haven't decided yet but I think I'm leaning more towards blush and gold with a burst of coral in the flowers to add some dimension.

Our STD's were sent to the printers this week so we should have them next week!

Yes, we did go through a travel agent. I just sent her an email to see if she can help me out. Thanks so much!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
