Torn Between 3 Resorts! Help

Hi Everyone! I'm newly engaged and just starting my wedding planning now for next year. I am stuck between 3 resorts! The Paradisus Varadero looks beautiful and they offer beach reception which I would love! and the beach looks the nicest, but this resort is a bit pricey per person.  Does anyone know if they have a disco there?  I also received quotes for Iberostar Varadero and Iberostar Laguna Azul, they are only $50 apart in price, and about $300 cheaper than the paradisus.  Can anyone tell me which out of the the two is the better resort? and has the better wedding venues? I've done some research but I'm still torn!

Thank you!! :)

Hey hun!  I was stuck between all of those resorts too!  I have never been to any of them before either so it was really scary to pick out a resort for my wedding and pretty much pick the place all of my guests would vacation to.  I was torn right down until the day I actually booked.  I was torn mainly between Iberostar Laguna Azul and Iberostar Varadero.  I did so much research and I went with the resort that had better reviews around the time we want to get married.  I found that the Iberostar Varadero had better September reviews than the Iberostar Laguna Azul.  I really loved the Spa Terrace for the Iberostar Laguna Azul but I also loved that the Iberostar Varadero was a smaller resort.  I totally understand it's a tough choice I hope that I helped a bit.

Good luck!

Hello to you both.  @@diadiamond - I went to a wedding at the Iberostar Varadero resort in May 2014 and it was absolutely lovely.  You made a great choice.  All the best to you.  :)  PS.  I live in Ontario too, not far from Toronto!

@@shanb thanks hun!  I see you're getting married at Paradisus Rio de Oro in Holguin.  My parents went there and absolutely loved it!  My step-dad is a vegetarian and my mom only eats halal meat, but they both enjoyed the food options they had.  You picked a great resort too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
