Short Wedding Dress?

Recommended Posts

I kind of had my heart set on a short dress, but then I realized I am getting married on the beach and will not be wearing shoes for the ceremony. My legs just don't look great without a heel...so I decided against it. I did see some really great options though - just try them on and see how you feel.

Now I have my heart set on not wearing white, but we'll see how that goes. I'm really trying to keep the dress budget down between $500-$750 MAX and all the white dresses I've seen in my price range are really plain/boring and I want some thing more unique. I've seen plenty of white dressing I love that are $2,000 or more! So I'm expanding to look at non-wedding dresses to find something more fashionable.

I haven't tried one like that on, hadn't thought about it. I will try!

My fiance is 6'4, so that makes me feel even shorter! Will make for some great pictures ;)

to each their own! that's why you get to choose your own dress.

I've seen some fantastic short dresses. they weren't my choice, but I wouldn't knock anyone who decided to go that route.

I don't like short wedding dress as it looks like awkward.

Since my wedding is in Bermuda, the FI wants to wear Bermuda shorts. Haha, me in a short dress and him in shorts. Nothing about our wedding says "traditional"!

The men in our wedding are in shorts, which I guess would be considered bermuda shorts.  Isn't that just the length of them? or is it considered something else depending where you live?

@@palmtree99 I think I saw that convertible dress on Pinterest too! The one I saw was by Tara Keely. Style tk2210. It's super cute in pictures!

Sorry I can't attach the pic! But you could google that style number. Once I knew the designer I was able to find stores that carried it, but none near me. I ended up deciding on a long dress. But this one was definitely in the running.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
