Carry On Items?

I'm with Air Transat. Not so much worried about my dress, just trying to balance luggage weights and figure out what I am taking on board versus checking.. fun stuff.

To be honest, I already weighed what my tumblers are with goodies inside, then times it by 48 and they can all go in one suitcase and only hit 25lbs! ha!

For me it will be carry on that will be hard to meet regulations. I may  have to ask around and see if any of our guests aren't using one so we can have theirs!  I am not worried about checked bags as we get 6 included, then extra is $25 which isn't that hard to swallow.

Good luck!!!

My fiancé and I are traveling a few days before all of our guests…which kind of sucks because anything I want down there when we get there (at least the OOT bags to assemble) is all stuff we will have to bring with US

We flew with Transat too, and they do not consider a wedding dress a "carry on" so it's a freebie.

I haven't even checked yet to see what air canada charges for extra bags. I'm in denial

Air Canada Vacations charges $25 for the second bag.

If you are in first class and get the 2 free bags, the 3rd one is well over $200 (as is a 3rd one if you are regular class).

Well my dumb travel agent didn't secure first class for us so that's out :( so technically, my daughter could have a second suitcase at $25 since she has a seat. Plus we all get carry ons. I think we can make it work!

Great question. I'm hoping that some of my friends and family will carry stuff for me. As of now, I'm not planning on taking " a lot" of things but my I will have to keep my OOT bags as they will be a complete surprise to our guests. I will carry my dress of course but the other things... I will likely ask if they can take for me if they have room.

I'm hoping I'll be able to ask family members to carry on a few things in case I can't fit em, but I hope to pack light in terms of decor to bring down. Paper products mostly! Did anyone else fly Sunwing? Do they have extra closets for wedding dresses hanging space or am I gonna have to cram it into the overhead bins?  :(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
