Oh oh me! I am I am. I've read every single book, except the most recent one. I haven't loaded it onto my kindle yet lol

So far it's holding pretty darned close to the book, except for one thing! Jamie is supposed to be a Scottish REDHEAD!!!! I don't know where they messed that up when they cast the show, but yes..... he is supposed to have red hair lol

Has anyone else read any of the books? I missed several of the episodes so got to do the marathon just over a week ago, and it was great to see all of the shows back to back.

@@acw271011 - I'm behind but read up to book 6 or 7 I think haha.  It takes her years to finish a book so I slowed down heavily after devouring them all at once when I first started.  My problem is remembering what happened in the older ones! I actually borrowed the Outlander Companion from the library once and it totally helped haha. I've been wanting to reread them though since I started watching the show

He's kind of a dark auburn :P.  I don't usually find red hair attractive on a man, so I personally like that colour on Jamie a lot!

I'm finding it really close to the book so far too.  I know that's why some only tv watching ppl complain because they find it too slow, but I think Diana Gabaldon has a huge say on the tv show which might explain why it's staying so true

@@calgarybride2015 - I do any form of Bachelor haha - it's my definite guilty pleasure.  Outlander is soo good! It's about a time travelling woman from the 1940s and 1700s Scotland... she finds love in both places.  It sounds totally cheesy but it's soo good.  I actually visited Scotland because of the books (and Braveheart haha)

Lilly where did you go in Scotland? I have family there but not up north. My mum is from a little tiny sea coast town just across from what's called the Isle of Aaron, or the Sleeping Giant. It's about 30 minutes from Glasgow. I would love to visit the true highlands. But of course whenever I go home it's always to visit family. I hold a UK passport even though I was born here because both my parents are British born.

I had the same idea about rereading the books just to refresh my memory! But you're right. They're so long to read. From what I read about the series, they're going to take one book each season and it will be 16 one and a half hour episodes for each book. I like what I'm seeing so far!

@@acw271011 - I adored Scotland! Such a beautiful place. I went to Glasgow, Edinburgh, the Highlands (Inverness and wherever lake loch is haha), and my fave - the isle of Skye! The last was so amazing - felt like I was in a different world. We visited this place called the fairy glen which was so so enchanting. I liked the cities but the highlands and isle of skye were just so special. I'm an English/history major too so loved seeing all of the historical sites. Told my fiancé he needs to go and see it all

That's great about the series! A lot to look forward to! I'm going to reread the first outlander book soon. I'm a bit torn because I while I do remember some parts of what happen, I also don't want to refresh myself too quickly and "spoil" the show haha

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
