How much is everyone paying for "other" stationary? Menus, placecards etc. I just got my quote back from the lady who did my invites and it seems really high... Now I'm considering making my own. Anyone else?

I'm not doing them :) so free.  Seriously though, the cards I am doing I am getting from vistaprint. If I hadn't found the groupon (thanks ladies!) I would have printed them myself!  (brochures, tag for my maracas, wedpics card, 'oh shit' kit card, luggage tags).    have you considered vistaprint or doing them yourself?

Vistaprint is definitely a good option, or check through the DIY forums here if you're feeling brave. There are tons of wonderful ideas and instructions here from other brides that have done them themselves.

Good luck!

I did all these myself except for the place cards because it came with my invitations but you can totally do those yourself too.  If you search online you will find a lot of templates for menus, place cards, programs etc. All you'll need is to buy the card stock/paper you want in your color theme and then play around with colors and design. Here are my menus, favor tags and programs for example. You can definitely do these super cheap I think I spent $5 on card stock and $10 on the wooden sticks and then just bought some crystals to bling it out a little.

I am lost when it comes to vista print. I just need to dedicate some time to it I supposed. Michaels is having 12x12 cardstock on 3/$1, and then there is a 25% off coupon, so I was going to go stock up today. With the intention of using a vista print type place to design everything, then mount crap on cardstock. I was totally going to go to a scrap booking night to use all of the good supplies to assemble!

Paperandmore.com has excellent reviews so I may order a bunch of stuff from there. I'll still come out cheaper then getting them made! Does anyone have a sample of their welcome letter?

One of my maids of honor is a graphic designer so she will be helping me to design everything and I'll use vistaprint.

Since we're upgrading the venue for the ceremony and we're paying extra for a reception package we get programs from the hotel and since the dinner is a buffet I don't really think we need menus. So far I'm only planning on making a little brochure or like a postcard sized pamphlet to remind people of the events and itinerary. I'll probably come up with other things like tags if we do insulated cups instead of OOT bags and things like that as I start planning more :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
