Hi Ladies,

I am thinking of DIY stuff, but that gets expensive too. Does anyone have a ballpark estimate for how much would I spend per DIY invite vs. professional?

Thanks!

I made boarding pass invites. For 25 I spent $35. Cardstock is cheap so it's really only the cost of your ink and extras if needed (ribbon, stamps, charms, etc).

I paid $7 per boarding pass invite and they were ready in one week. In super happy with them, so although it was a splurge, it's one area I wanted to. I totally think I'm going to DIY the rest of my own stationary though. I think all in, it'll be about $100 for supplies, which is waaaaay lower then the quote for everything I want. Now I just have to get moving on it

@@SwissWedding it can get expensive if you want. I made our invitations and total with supplies and everything I paid around $50 for 40 of them. I sent them to get printed at Staples because none of my printers were good enough and they ended up looking really cheap.  Also, if you live in the States you can probably get it done for less. Everything in Canada is a bit more of a rip off and things are harder to find haha. This is how they turned out.

Just places my amazon order last night! I had to do a ton of tweeting since it was going to come in 12 shipments and you pay per piece at the border. I will be going in 7-10 days to pick it all up! Yay!

Unless I find them for cheap, I will be DIY just about everything but my invites. (I did my own STD's which were VERY time consuming, a lot of small details. So for invites, I am just going to buy them off a website. And to save money I will probably DIY everything else!)

I did boarding pass ones, and they were about 3/each with shipping (70 cent stamps). I made 50+ - they actually got cheaper as I made more due to spreading out material costs lol.

They were time intensive, though, so if you can get them done for less...do it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
