Hi everyone!

Wow it feels like it's been forever since I've posted... and it's only been a few weeks!

I was wondering what you guys have done to follow up with your invitees who haven't RSVPed to let you know they aren't coming, nor have they booked their trip yet.  I want to message them and remind them, but are there any etiquette guidelines I should follow?

Thoughts?

Thanks!

We sent reminder texts or emails or called them. We did it about 2 weeks out then about 1 week. If we didn't even hear from them at all and they never sent an RSVP (website) we crossed them off the list.

I sent these... And it worked like a charm. For those that still didn't reply- I took the hint and recorded them as not coming. (Our booking deadline was the same as our RSVP deadline)

we called and sent texts to remind them. Some people honestly forgot, others never received the invitations for some reason so they were glad we called to remind them. Only a few people never replied and we just crossed them out. Not sure I want people with that lack of courtesy at my wedding anyway hahaha.

I seriously want to keep it moving if guests don't reply. My MOH said that she would take the responsibility of following-up with those who do not respond one week before the deadline. I could care less about tracking down people to ask them if they're coming or not...and since she knows how salty I can be, she decided that it's best if she does it. So with that, there will be limited follow-up activity thanks to my awesome MOH!!! Love her to life!!!

@VegasBride121314 Can I borrow your MOH?! That is awesome. I just sent my STDs out in early August and it is driving me nuts that people who KNOW for sure that they are coming haven't put down their mere $150 deposit. I feel like they should just make it easy on me and do it :) I've seen some comments about my resort selling out and now I'm paranoid.

We are still 8 months out so I can probably wait until January to start really hounding people.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
