I have a 2 part question:

1.  How much does the average bride pay for hair/make-up?

2. Has anyone had their hair and make-up done at the salon at Moon Palace? Did you like it? If yes/no, who was a good/bad stylist?

Thank you!

I'm paying $150 for bridal hair/make-up (airbrush) and eyelash extensions.... but that's with an outside artist who will be coming to my room at the resort with her team. My resort spa got mixed reviews. Not sure about Moon Palace though.

Who are you using?

My spa charges well over $200 for both!  No bad reviews, but I have been looking to outside vendors.  MVP looks great, but getting them on my resort is super pricey and not sure I want the hassle of going offsite just in case.    I am ok with the price for me, but I noticed MVP was cheaper for my BM's than my spa.   I am sure I will stick with the spa but it's not a bad idea to price things out and see if you can get a better deal and/or better product.

I'm using Tania Tagle (Check out her website and facebook - work looks amazing). I can't remember who the approved vendor is for my resort but I remember looking at their prices and laughing a little bit (something like $400ish for bridal... ya, no thanks).

I have scheduled my hair and makeup for my wedding day at the Golf Resort Spa at Moon Palace. The prices seem fair and their work has been highly rated by lots of brides. I think its $180 for hair and makeup but you can use resort credits. I also have scheduled a practice run thru for 2 days before my wedding.

I leave in less than 2 weeks. I can let you know upon my return!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
