We would like to book DJ Discomovil for our June 2016 wedding but arent sure if it's too early. Like what if the vendors arent working there anymore or something. I would like to rent equipment from PSAV or JSAV to hae my cousin DJ since he knows how we  like t he music but

A. I dont want to put him to work on vacation

B. It will cost just about the same to rent the equipment and give my cousin something as it would to hire a DJ

Thoughts?

So far 79 adult guests + bride and groom + 13 kids = 164 room nights. Focused on planning without stressing.

I would book as early as possible to a) secure your date and B) lock in a current price!

I agree to book as early as possible. I contacted DJ Discomovil last month for my 5/15/15 wedding date and he was already booked! The sooner the better!

Good advice, ladies :) it's probably a good idea to book all outside vendors as soon as possible, to ensure they're available for your preferred date, as well as reserve their current price.

Wishing everyone happy research and planning, and that it all works out great - cheers! team MTM :)

Yea sounds good, but since our date isn't till June 2016 I'm worried they may not be there.

If they are a reputable company they will still be in business in June 2016. I have my outside vendors already under contract for my 2016 date and it saved me a lot of money as I could negotiate current rates and got a couple bonus offers for early booking.

Oh great thank you @kmk2016. I'm glad I'm not the only one planning so far ahead. What vendors did you book and do you have any recommendations? I have a hefty outside vendor fee so I want to be sure they are great.
