So I went to do a test print at kinkos and my cursive font that I downloaded online and used for our names and titles didn't print in the right font. The guy wasn't sure why and even when he printed it behind the counter and pulled it up on his computer it looked different from what it looked like on my laptop. Anyone have problems with this? I wonder if staples will print it correctly, but just wondering if anyone had this issue.

My only thought would be if their computer and/or program at kinkos doesn't have this font you are using.

Did you download this font off the internet and install on your computer?

Just a thought, otherwise I am not sure...sorry!

@@helenk - Did you save it as a PDF?  If the computer at Kinkos or Staples doesn't have your font choices, it'll print as something else. I usually print from PDF to make sure the fonts and spaces are the way I want them

I so wish I had the guts to try something like this. I am SO not crafty and I mean that. I'm thinking just to go the website that someone mentioned and have them do them for me. I only need like 10 so that's nothing.

Yours turned out beautifully. I love the colours!

These turned out great!  Seeing everyone on her have such success with their DIY projects is making me feel like maybe I can do it too...

Ok so I had them printed and told the guy I wanted them cut. Silly me I thought he would cut into the exact outline of the invites but he just cut them into squares. We tried trimming at home, we bought x-acto knives and corner cutters and everything but around the smaller corners they look like a kindergartner cut them lol! How did you ladies cut your invites?

It wasn't weird having them printed like that with the lines but not cut out? Bc I'm seriously over trying to trim them! Lol. I cut the RSVPs and I punched holes in them so I can add a little ribbon I bought to make them look more like a luggage tag but the invites are killing me! Ugh. I'll post pics. post-278186-142598437614_thumb.jpgpost-278186-142598444863_thumb.jpgpost-278186-14259844604_thumb.jpgpost-278186-142598447162_thumb.jpg

It was a pain in the tush, but I found the easiest way was to get a tiny pair of scissors, almost like the nail cuticle scissors, and cut the corners. We also had a corner punch that worked well for the one end, but the 'rip off' end would not work with the corner punch.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
