We are probably just going to do a photo book of some of our wedding pictures for our parents. We figure that is something they would like to have!

I personally think it would be a nice surprise.

Since I don't think any parent expects a gift on your wedding day, I think it would be nice to surprise them!!  They are a terrific idea and we decided last night we would do this for our parents. Will probably make them thru Costco!

My husband got me an embroidery machine for Mother's Day and I ended up making handkerchiefs for both of my parents. For my dad I wrote, "I will always be your little girl." And for my mom I put "Mom" in a heart. We got married in June!! Unfortunately both of my husbands parents have passed

We've been picking up some small, special things for our moms to put in their OOT bags.  Clear, waterproof cases for their iPads that allow them to use the touch screen and these beach bags that have a flap and mesh bottom for emptying out sand (I think they're called Shake bags).  We are also giving our dads a cigar bar "credit" and moms a spa "credit" at the resort (really room credit but we're making nice cards to indicate what it's for).

I saw something on Pinterest where a couple had a picture of themselves holding a picture frame that said "We owe you."  I thought that was cute and we plan to do that as well in their thank you cards at the rehearsal dinner.

Great idea on the photo book. I will defiantly be doing that for our parents and I may do one for our grandparents as well. For my dad I was going to orders picture frame from etsy for our father daughter dance. There are some nice ones that have cute sayings.

  • 7 months later...

I was/still paying for the wedding myself. My husband to be's job is to show up lol. However his parents sent us a pre wedding gift in the form of a check. So now I feel like we have to do something. So does he and it's been hard to come up with something they will enjoy. So at this point we r thinking the private dinner on the beach for them. Not sure yet but kind of leaning that way

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
