I wouldn't. If you already know their reply- save the $.

I sent them one anyway. I thought it was the polite thing to do but I know that not everyone does. I personally wouldn't get offended if someone doesn't send me an invite after I got verbally invited and said no but I know some people just love to create drama over that. My fiancé didn't want to send them one haha

Typically I would say no, but I just had some drama that surrounded this.

I didn't send a STD but when my girlfriend found out I was marrying in Mexico she said (in so many words) to count her out and take a lot of pictures for her.  So I didn't send her an invite. Well I found out recently she's been miffed about it for months. I explained myself and got no reply. So onwards and upwards.

So that said, if it was a firm no and no wishy washy, I wouldn't send one. If you have doubt in your mind, send one!

Good advice, that is what I was thinking. If it is a firm no (aka will have a newborn or already had another trip booked) then I won't.  But if its probably no, I'll send one just in case.

Thanks!  Just wanted to make sure I wasn't being rude if I didn't send one to everyone.

I was just thinking about this same thing. I decided to send them anyway, since on our STD's I did put that a formal invitation will follow. Who knows, we sent those out many months ago so maybe by the time we send invites some things could have changed for people and they may be able to make it after all!

I didn't send an invite to the people so already said no - which was all my extended family. The fact that it was a destination wedding was not well received.

Now family has been asking so I just explained that we are still going away but are keeping it small - they seem to understand.

I think if you don't want to send them then don't. But if it's going to eat away at you and you're going to feel bad/guilty about it then send them.

We used paperless post and had an email invite

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
