Seeing Your H2B Before The Ceremony Starts?

Recommended Posts

Yeah, we definitely want to do a first look and get a lot of the pictures out of the way then, so we just miss half of our cocktail hour! Plus I want to get the crying out of the way and get my makeup fixed!

I will not see my husband to be until I walk down the aisle on our wedding day! Although I am having a DW, there are just some things that I am very traditional about, and this is one of them :) It is a great idea though (and would be so much more convenient for pictures!)

My FI doesn't want to see me until I am walking down the aisle, and I am totally okay with that. The nice thing about a destination wedding is that between the ceremony and reception people can go to lobby bar, or back in the pool if they want! So many options. There isnt the same pressure to keep everyone entertained.

Depends where you marry!

Not as easy at my resort and the location we chose. We had to pay for the golf cart to shuttle all our guests as it's a far distance away!  We are doing an open bar for them there with a mariachi band while we take pictures because they can't just mosey on back to the resort!

If my sister in law wasn't our wedding photographer, then I totally would of done the first look, as our ceremony is at sunset. However, my fiancé really wants the moment that I walk down the aisle to be special, so we will see each other then first - However my sister in law is going to take couple photos of just the two of us a few days later so we can mosey off the resort and be relaxed and not have to worry about rushing. :)

I know this, along with trash the dress, are like the new things to do, but despite the DW, my h2b and I are traditional :-) I want to see him for the first time when I turn the corner and see him at the gazebo! I wouldn't even look at him at his suit fitting (though I've seen the suit, just not him in it)! I want both of us to be surprised.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
