I just finished my OOT bags tonight. I am ahead of schedule as we are visiting the resort in November for a pre-wedding meet and greet with the vendors I have selected, a tasting and engagement photos. I wanted to finish up the bags so I could take them with me to Cabo in November, as my WC is going to store them for me until our wedding in February. My bags have the following items:

The Bag - personalized from Vista Prints

Thank You letter

Do Not Disturb door hanger

2 Chapsticks

4 Shout Wipes

1 pack of Kleenex

1 tin of Nvidia lotion

4 packs of sanitizing wipes

An activity bag with a personalized word find on the front of the bag

a deck of cards

a word find book

Aloe Vera

Mini First Aid Kit

Sunscreen

Eye Drops

Vitamin C Drops

2 rolls of Certs

2 packs of Gum

4 Advil individual packs

Tums roll

4 Alka Seltzer individual packs

4 Imodium Individual packs

1/4 lb. personalized M&Ms

1/4 lb. cocktail flavor mix of Jelly Bellies

I made all of the toppers, one of which I used a template that another bride posted in the OTT forum. I will need to look at the post again and give that bride credit. The rest of the toppers I made myself The candy each have their own toppers on them. We will make a Costco run at the Cabo Costo in February for snacks and water to add to the bad. I really wanted to add pashminas or Bubba mugs, but it just got to be to expensive and to much to take with me to Cabo, as I had to make 30 bags, not counting the kids bags I have to work on. I also have to bring Maracas for the ceremony, so we are bringing up A LOT of luggage in November. My plan was to purchase some old luggage from a thrift store and just leave the luggage with my OOT bag items in them and just leave the luggage in Cabo after we are finished.

Awe Valentine's Day!

That's awesome that they will store them for you!!

Have a great trip in November and good job on the OOT bags!

Edit: I looked into old luggage at thrift stores, maybe it was the thrift store I was in, but Walmart was cheaper!

So cute!!! I love all of it! How did you do the activity bags and what did you put in those? That's a great idea! I have 65 welcome bags to take with me and I'm a little panicked about how much stuff I have. Between the decorations, welcome bag stuff, etc., I have 8 suitcases of stuff. Ridiculous. I have friends who can take 2 bags so I don't have to take all of them with me. I did buy super cheap suitcases and I'm leaving them there. Better than hauling them back.

Love your welcome stuff! Great job!

@, I ordered some flat white bags from Etsy that measured 6 x 9, so when I picked up my word find puzzles at the Dollar Tree I made sure they would fit. I also picked up playing cards at Dollar Tree 2 for $1.00.  I found a site online that allowed me to make a personalized word find puzzle http://tools.atozteacherstuff.com/word-search-maker/wordsearch.php once I created the puzzle I changed it into a PDF and sized it down to fit on the bags and I printed the puzzle directly on the bags from my home printed.  The etsy vendor still has some bags left https://www.etsy.com/listing/101350266/100-white-paper-bags-flat-65-x-925?ref=sr_gallery_25&ga_search_query=white+5x9+bags&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery  I would have loved to do so much more for my bags, but bringing all of the welcome bags along with maracas (I was advised to buy them in the US and bring them with me by WC), is CRAZY.  when I go to Cabo in November I am going to have 4 large suitcases of wedding stuff, not counting the our personal suitcases.  I do thing putting everything in bags like I did will keep everything together better and it will make putting the bags together much easier.

What a great welcome bag!!  I have been trying to figure out what I want to put in mine without breaking the bank.  Of course my fiance wants to keep adding stuff, so I have to delete other things to keep on budget.

@@Sabes44, I also had a hard time as I kept wanting to add more and more, but in the end I really wanted to avoid throwing away money, so I figured the items I added to the bags would eventually get used.  I was also worried about hauling all of my OTT bag stuff to Cabo and getting stopped by customs, so I tried to make it simple and useful.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
