Our resort, EPM has an in house photographer we can use, Beach Studios.  I've looked at their packages and they are RIDICULOUSLY high for what they offer (range from $500-$4,800, with the $500 option only getting you 24 images).

We can bring in a photographer for a $500 fee, which might be worth it if they have a more robust and reasonable package.

Have any of you found an amazing photographer with excellence packages for reasonable prices??

There are quite a few good photographers in the RM and I think a good number of them have been reviewed on this site. I would suggest that you look through the vendor reviews and see what past brides have said. Then look on their websites and see if any photography touches you. They all have their own styles and you would really need to look a their work. Once you've done that you can just email them for prices. Most of them will try to work with you for something within your budget.

We've decided on Bicoastal Images. They've been very responsive so far with questions and I like what I've seen on their website.

We opted to pay the outside vendor fee for our resort as well and are going with Octavio Montes.  We met with him 2 weeks ago when we were in mexico and got a great vibe from him.  His prices are relatively decent compared to others and he is offering a 10% discount right now.   He does Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen and Cancun.

I would check out his website:

We booked him too! We have never met with him but he seems to take great pride in his work :). I'm happy we booked him

We booked Ivan Luckie. His prices are not listed on his website, but its worth the time to e-mail him. Seriously best prices I could find for such an amazing photographer! Our resort charges a $500 vendor fee to bring him on the resort, and after reading reviews I think that may be the best money I spend!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
