Moon Palace Cancun Mexico

Recommended Posts

I've viewed this thread a couple of times and noticed you have some questions with Moon Palace. I am an Aventura Palace bride- They are "sister" resorts, so I thought I'd give you my input and impressions so far (being that my wedding is a little over 3 weeks away!!)

I first spoke to a palace resort WC based in Miami- they answered my general questions and if they couldn't, they forwarded them to the site WCs. I didn't speak to the site WC (who will be at the wedding) until about 2 months prior to our arrival.

That said, some of the answers you are getting now won't make sense and might not even apply to what actually happens.

As I said Aventura is NOT Moon Palace, but we are having a private reception, in a ballroom, and they will be providing a dance floor- we are also bringing our Ipod for reception music and they will provide DJ speakers.

My advise..... push your WC harder for what you want. If you want a private function with dancing, they should be able to accomodate that.

Just wanted to pop in to say that I am also a Moon Palace bride, 11/8/08. I am not getting ANY information at all this far out, but my TA is pretty familiar with everything. I'll keep checking in with you ladies as I know stuff and to see what you have found out as far as private reception info. I get the feeling that they are a pain in the @ss for the Moon Palace to do and that's why they try to steer us away from them... obviously I am undeterred! :)

I photographed a wedding at Moon Palace last March for Lenita. The reception was in a ballroom, and they did have a dance floor.

Also, later that night, we saw another reception out on the lawn overlooking the beach. I'm not sure what kind of "dance floor" they had set up. But...they had great music and were dancing the night away.

I hope that helps. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

:)

we got married at moon palace in november - our recepiton was outdoors on a terrace and it was perfect - they set the tables basically around the edge and we danced in the middle. honestly, i wouldnt worry about things until you get there - have things planned in your mind about what exactly you want, but they have so many weddings that you wont get a lot of info until you get there and they so absolutely WONDERFUL when you get there. there was nothing that we didnt get addressed once we were there. you can see pics from our wedding at the link here Cari and Nick

sometimes the pics help more than anything.

if you have an indoor reception, they will make sure they place the tables how you want them and vice versa for outdoors. if you have specific music that you want, i would recommend bringing an ipod and just hooking it up to their speakers - thats what we did so that we had all the music that we wanted. only $150 for the night. moon palace is awesome!

Could someone please tell me how to get music for 150.00 the audio company is charging me 300.00 for 4 hours for a manned system with my own music. I am also having trouble communicating with the event decorating company zuniga cancun. I have no idea what I want other than fabulous drapings up-lighting and themed red and white decor. I cannot find any photos on the web to help me communicate what I am looking for. Any advise...huh.gifsmile03.gifbann.gifshots.gifsmile72.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
