Newbie Needs Help!

Hi

My name is Justine and I got engaged in July on my birthday.  We both want a beach wedding and have chosen Mexico.

At the end of this month we are booking the ceremony at Dreams Riviera Cancun as my 3 year old daughter will be with us and then our honeymoon will be at Secrets Maroma (grandparents having our daughter).

I am very excited and can't wait to start planning. Does anyone know how soon we get the wedding package details after booking as I want to know exactly if I need to start organising things like chair covers and sashes etc.

We have chosen the top package and want our reception on the beach at sunset but I'm not sure if lighting is provided or if we have to provide candles etc. etc.

Can any brides out there help please????

@@Bride2b15 - Congrats to you. Not sure if you got your question answered but I think it varies from resort to resort. But it seems that most of those details aren't fully discussed with the coordinator until 1-3 months before your date. I believe candles and sashes are extra. I would look at the wedding pricing sheet in the wedding guide. It's posted online. HTH

Congrats and welcome to the site. There are a few threads already started for that Dreams location. If you just search the Forums you'll find them. I would recommend doing it when you have some time to read. I know the questions you're asking have definitely been answered in those threads.

Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
