Resorts Without Free Wi-Fi?

Recommended Posts

On our wedding website and in wedding newsletter we are sending two weeks before we go we suggest downloading "Viber" app which gives free texts and calls without having to get international plan....just wifi. The week's package is cheaper than a month of international calling plan. Also, each wifi plan at hotel you can add up to five devices so people are pairing together to split.

From what I've read at our resort it's one device only. So the reviews warn to pick the device you plan to use most.

Yea I'm def planning on a welcome party! We're planning on getting there on the Wednesday and our wedding is Saturday. So I have to see when everyone will be arriving. I know one of our friends has the ability to call internationally with his T-Mobile plan, so maybe we'll plan to utilize whoever has phones that work and have them relay messages to the others also. Ideally all of our rooms will be near each other so we can just knock on doors! Lol. I'm trying not to stress but then when I thought about it I was like crap how am I going to get a hold of everyone! You'd think all all-inclusives included free wifi

I think it will work out :)

I'm opposite you -- I arrive Saturday and marry Wednesday. Initially we arrived Sunday but they changed our flights. It's more than half way thru but what can I do :)

At my best friend's destination wedding we all brought walkie talkies! They worked amazing and I intend on telling my guests to bring some if they have :)

We did this too last time when we went with my family. The resort was really small but they came in super handy.

@@TinkerSofi and @@Csonnel - how many walkie talkies did you/they have? Did everyone have one (one per room anyway)? I'm intrigued by the idea, but I would think that would be a lot of walkie talkies to bring.

We had 2 walkie talkies and 5 people (3 rooms) but we managed. They were very helpful but I'm not sure how it would work with so many. Maybe if there are 4 people who are always together give them once, etc. it can be expensive. I think we paid $70 for 2

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
