Who Did You Hire For Photography That Isn't Insanely Expensive?

I'm using Quetzlal Photo and she has been so great to work with up to this point. I know she also shoots for one of the larger Cancun agencies but has gone out on her own. Good luck!

@@calgarybride2015 thank you so much for actually offering so kind feedback. I do have a 16 year old coming who loves to play the drums, dj, take photographs, lol you get the picture? Haha he would love to I'm sure I just don't know that I want anyone to have to be mindful of taking photos who are guests. I know me... I'll have 1 or 2 drinks and I'll be telling them to relax and enjoy themselves and not worry about taking my photographs and end up regretting it later....

@@spjwedding thanks for the referral! I'm going to look at her info now!

We went with Octavio montes. I can't remember the exact quote but it's along the lines of $1000 for 4 or 5 hours. He also has cheaper packages for less hours. After shopping around for a bit we thought his prices were very reasonable and we liked his pictures. He has most of the prices on his website and you can ask him for more if you'd like. There's definitely affordable photographers out there, for the most part it is a tedious job to shop around for pictures you like, ask for quotes and then find out that you can't afford half of them haha but that's sort of the norm with any vendor. I know that the prices seem like a lot, but compared to local photographers $1000 is a steal. They also put tons of time editing the pictures and behind the scenes, it's not as easy as pressing a button.

We're going for JhanKarlo http://jhankarlophotography.com/ who is reasonably priced, I love what I've seen of his work and he's been great when it comes to communication. Fingers crossed he's the superstar he seems!

I really like his pictures too!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
