Help! I have a problem with the wedding coordinator changing my package on me!

When I booked the Pure Package, several months ago, I was told that it included "photo package A"

Photo Package A included:

-          Album: 100 pictures among 60 pages with different templates (Includes 30 B&W)

-          5 Printed e-touched pictures 8”x10”

-          8”x10” Hard cover book of 22 pages containing between 29 - 31 photos

-          CD with all digital images

-           1 Continuous hour of video service, Final cut video lasting between 15 to 40 minutes long’

-          Personalized hard cover DVD case

-          Slide show

I'm now being told that photo package A includes only 36 photos in a soft cover album! EXCUSE ME?! Unfortunately, I did not save the email from my Palace contact with all the photo information when I booked my package. I simply copied and pasted the info into a word documented I have saved. I have since gotten MUCH smarter and am saving everything! I'm SO frustrated and offended that they have done this!

Does anyone have any documentation of the "old" photo packages, when "Package A" was worth something?!?

As an update... I hired Del Sol. They are SO much more professional, responsive, and caring. Additionally, Del SOl is the same price as the resort photographer. Glad I made this choice and BOO YOU PALACE. =)

Yes I will have to pay the vendor fee but I am more than happy to pay it for better service & quality (oh and maybe just as a minor "f you" to my resort for trying to pull a fast one on me.) ;)

Glad to hear you enjoyed working with them!

They're denying the whole thing, which is what makes me even angrier. They did however just tell me that the vendor fee is only $400, when I have been told prior that it is $800, and other brides are all stating that it is $800... you bet I'm saving this email and printing it to bring with me! It's so difficult planning a wedding from so far away, with a planners who have different cultural beliefs and values than the bride.

it use to be $800    but in either june-july they changed the policy to be only $400 for video/photographer vendors.  All other types of vendors are still $800.

The packet that was sent to me back last year around December - January stated that photography package A included:

36 pictures 4x6" and one 6x8" picture and album.

did you save all your emails from them?

That's what I did.  I have everything saved that way if there is a dispute later I can show what they originally told me.

I didn't save the packet they sent to me because I thought I had everything in email... my fault. I booked about a year ago. I'm assuming they changed the package when they switched photography companies... lesson learnt

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
