We aren't having a bridal party so on my wedding website I'm going to add people to the "People" section as they RSVP. That way people can see who is coming and get to know the guests and how they are connected to us before they arrive.

Ooo I like this idea! We don't have a wedding party either! I wonder if I can change the title of that to wedding guests or something !

We sent our invites out when we booked our resort so never had time for STD's.

We did nothing when they paid their deposit except say 'thank you' but once they have paid their trip when the final deadline hits in October everyone will get a pre-travel letter and luggage tag.

I understand some people may still drop out now, and possibly more will still come. So we plan to do it once final payment has been made and everyone is pretty much guaranteed to come.   I plan to send this all out early November.

Where are you getting your luggage tags from? And I love the idea of a pre travel letter :)

I got the luggage tags from Amazon.com -- Advantus proximity badge holders and the loops I got from dollarama. You can also get loops online but couldn't find a good deal to Canada. At Dollarama they are in packs with laminating sleeves but I threw those out. It was $1 for 5.

Staples also had badge holders but a bit more expensive. I think 20-25 was around $20.

Did you use just plain colored luggage tags or with a design? All the cute ones I'm finding are $5-10 and that will add up quickly! I really want to send a little something with a thank you card for booking but can't think of anything else besides luggage tags.

Mine were clear luggage tags. I made a business card on vistaprint that I slipped in. One side said Mexico and the other 'this bag belongs to' info.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
