Is anyone doing or have done something for the guests after they pay their deposit? I was thinking of sending a postcard saying "thanks for deciding to join us, we can't it to vacation with you in Mexico"

Something along those lines, has anyone done something like this before? We are doing a video save the date and postcards for the less tech savvy. We will send invitations out later on, but it's more of a reminder. I just want this to be more of a thank you.

So far 79 adult guests + bride and groom + 13 kids = 164 room nights. Focused on planning without stressing.

Yea, because I know it's a lot to ask of people and since we are about 2 years out, I don't want people to forget about it either

We sent our invites out when we booked our resort so never had time for STD's.

We did nothing when they paid their deposit except say 'thank you' but once they have paid their trip when the final deadline hits in October everyone will get a pre-travel letter and luggage tag.

I understand some people may still drop out now, and possibly more will still come. So we plan to do it once final payment has been made and everyone is pretty much guaranteed to come.   I plan to send this all out early November.

We aren't having a bridal party so on my wedding website I'm going to add people to the "People" section as they RSVP. That way people can see who is coming and get to know the guests and how they are connected to us before they arrive.

We sent postcards with "see you in Mexico" and personalized message on the back. Deposit deadline was early May and I just sent them out now. Wedding April 22, 2015. I think its a nice gesture.

We sent postcards that said Thank you for Booking! Can't wait to see you in Cuba! And used one of our photos from our engagement photoshoot. I think people liked it!

@calgarybride2015 I really like that idea! I wanted to use luggage tags but thought if I put them in the OOT bags they might not be used because the guests will probably have their own. But your idea seems perfect.

We're sending out a pre-wedding mailer passport with more specific info about events and the resort, luggage tags and a "get pumped" cd. I'm working on them now and hoping to get them out by the end of summer.  Our final payments are in October, and I think we're only going to have 1 drop out (b/c of pregnancy).  I want the people that have put down deposits to get excited and make sure they pay their final payments in October haha
