Hello my fellow DW brides!

I am 99% sure that the RIU palace Mexico will be the location for my DW. I was looking to see if anyone had knowledge and or experience with this destination. I would like to gather as much information as possible before I commit. I was originally Going with the NOW jade riviera cancun, but because of recent reviews of their customer service declining I was a little uneasy moving forward with them. I think I am interested in the caprice package, anyone had that package or going to have that package? I haven't found any information on reception option or if they even have that option. I'm hoping to make a decision soon as I'm looking for dates in May 2015 and time is flying by!

Thank you!

Jess

It was one of my choices. We stated at Riu palace riviera Maya in December and like the RIM better for a wedding. Only reason I didn't pick Riu is because I found Palace, but, if we got married in another country it would definitely be Riu.

Riu does have 4 different packages and they do have reception options which you pay per person, you will find you run into this at alot of resorts as well if you want something more than dinner. I do have the specific prices somewhere if you would like, I want to say off the top of my head it ranged from $25 pp - $40 depending if you want private or other details you'd be looking for. When we were last down in Mexico we actually got to talk to one of the wedding coordinators, who was very nice!

@@jessg619 Hi!! We're getting married at RPM June 2015!! I'm glad there is someone else considering it! They sent me some info on private receptions if you would like it. :) Have you stayed at any Rius before? We love them!

Yep, I talked to a Riu wedding coordinator during our stay at Riu Palace Riviera Maya I was told its $25 per person if you go over whichever package you choose. I just preferred to not pay per person at an all inclusive and I wouldve just had a small wedding at home. Riu is absolutely great though. We will honeymoon at a Riu resort and consistently use them for our vacations.

Thank you ladies! This experience was beginning to be a lil bit overwhelming in trying to narrow down the resort and a " Perefct" one at that. @@susie q I would really appreciate any info you can send me! Jessg619@yahoo.com. @@TheBHolders I also didn't want to pay per person, I prefer the all- inclusive packages just to alleviate some of the last minute unexpected cost, but I honestly am ready to begin planning and don't feel like continuing my resort search.

Yay! Congrats @@Icis. How's the planning going? I wish the RPM had more online info I could review or pictures! I feel I have literally search everywhere online for pics of weddings at RPM and have not had much luck. I would like to get an idea of what other brides have done :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
