The Price Of The Trip

Recommended Posts

Hey,

Just wondering how you're informing your guests of the price of your trip.  I feel awkward announcing it on our website, but I think it might be worse for them to call the travel agent then decide they can't go... any tips?

Why feel akward? People need to know the cost if they plan on booking and joining you on your special day! It would of course not be appropriate to have on your invitation, but your website is the perfect place to detail pricing!

I think the website is the perfect place for it. I think people just want to know the hard facts as cost literally means everything for a DW IMO and that may possibly be the first question they ask/info they look for. Don't feel awkward everyone does it :)

I put it on the website and it's also on our booking link (with more details such as leaving from other cities in the country) I included the prices of only our city but only because most, if not all, of our guests are leaving from the same place

How do you include airfare in the pricing you post when that changes daily? Also did everyone put money down to hold a certain amount of rooms at the group rate?

The travel agent says it is refundable when everyone puts there deposits down and I will get the difference back for whatever rooms were held and not booked. They said if I did not put the group deposit down then I should not quote the rate because it could change.

It's all included in Canada. That's probably the difference.

I had to pay a deposit to hold 15 rooms/30 seats on plane but it was non refundable if we chose to cancel. When our guests pay theirs to hold the price we secured them with our deposits they are also non refundable.

That is awesome I wish it was combinable here through the travel agent we couldn't reserve the airfare unfortunately in less we paid the full amount for everyone even then I don't think it was an option. Airfare won't be out for another year for us so I'm not sure the pricing. I am nervous Bc we are getting married on a holiday weekend so prices will probably be high. Edited by JamaicaNicole

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
