I am getting married in Jamaica and I have only verbally asked a few people to join us. For the reception....need to send out invites to everyone. What are some of you ladies doing? How do I acknowledge that we will have already gotten married but want them to attend our AHR? Your templates would be wonderful if you have any or suggestions on how you worded them.

I have the template for the ticket type invitation but that seems more appropriate if I was inviting everyone to come to Jamaica (which I would if they could afford it).

Here are some examples I have saved. Not sure what I'm going with yet, but most likely something that inlcudes FI's parents names just cause it will mostly be his family and his parents friends. I may also include hosted by "FI's Parents" even though we are paying for it.

The second one would work if you got married and then sent the invitation.

This is something that I am already stressed about too.... Eric does not want to use parents names (as his father is not a part of his life and I have "4 parents"). I also have to try to make sure my maiden name is in there somewhere as sooo many of my relatives might not recognize my current last name. (I was married before for 5 years, I am a widow)

We will only be inviting people to the AHR.... I just don't have any idea where to start.... AAUUGGHHHH!!!

thanks. I think we are using the "join us in celebrating the marriage of our daughter..." b/c my parents are throwing the AHR for us. :)

My invites to the wedding in Dominican opens with

"Near the turquoise sea, on soft white sand

we take the plunge, hand in hand…"

so on our invites for the cocktail recpetion we are having in our hometown when we get back will say

"Near the turquoise sea, on soft white sand

we TOOK the plunge, hand in hand…"

then something like..please come celebrate with us..........

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
