If You Are Having A Catamaran Trip- Are You Paying?

Recommended Posts

If it's part of your official wedding events/ you should pay.... If it's an optional excursion you are suggesting, then it's ok to have guests pay.

IMO

Totally agree with this.  We are trying to do a group activity but would like to keep it cost effective as it's something that we would like to cover the cost for.

it has all you can drink booze, a hot lunch (probably more like chicken, not lobster), snorkeling- it is a half day thing too. I wish there was swimming with dolphins- that would be awesome!

Where do you find this? I'm looking as well as this sounds quite affordable!

Just google catamaran tour Cancun! Your hotel will also have 'reps' to sell them if you wanted to wait. Or email them to see which company they use. Another thing is that some airlines back up some companies so maybe scope out their website. I know air Canada does.

We decided to do a catamaran cruise and we will be paying for the bridal party and their guests/significant others but having it optional for our other guests. I haven't decided yet how to word it. But we are either going to have a pre-travel party or send out pre-travel packets with itinerary, cd's, etc. so I thought I would say something like "join the bridal party on a sunset catamaran cruise at your option" and list the price pp and an rsvp deadline so we can let the tour guide know.

We just booked ours. We are paying $1000 and asking everyone to pay $50. We stated it as a totally optional activity and put the cost in so there are no surprises. I'm really excited for it, and hope most ppl want to join!

@chelseapaige37- what company did you book through? how many people? and how long is the charter?

We are booked with ally cat sailing. It's $1500 for 10 ppl, and $50 per person over that. Kids under 6 are free. We will probably end up owing more than $1000 but we will stay fairly close. It is 6-7 hours and includes a light breakfast, lunch, open bar, and a bunch of activities including kayaking, snorkelling, paddle boards and apparently the ability to fish which my fiancé is excited for.

It has great reviews and the catamaran looks amazing. We are really excited.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
