Tygrrlily's Planning Thread - Beach Palace Resort - 12/19/14

You wedding week looked like lots of fun! I always like to hear about what items were the big hits from the OOT bags. Now I'm reconsidering whether I'll get tumblers. They do seem like the biggest pain to carry there and everything and if people won't enjoy them maybe I can spend that money on other little fun things :).

The white party looked like so much fun! How did you keep people from being drunk in an AI resort? I think it's going to be tough with my party friends haha.

You can't haha!!!

It's funny about the tumblers. I worry they won't get used either BUT my bubba is always used when I travel. But I've never been served, I always just get up and get it myself :) I'm inpatient maybe lol. So I know I'd love to have it so I'm hoping for the best.

Yeah we always use ours whenever we travel too- but I head to the bar and they fill it there- so that's likely why! The one time we forgot them I was sooo annoyed that my Miami vice was melting too fast! Haha

@@kmk2016 - Haha we discovered Mimi Vices on this trip!! Everyone was drinking them, even the boys. So delicious!

@@calgarybride2015 - My friends and I are just lazy!  I think the tumblers are still awesome and people loved the labels on them :).  I think maybe Tony and I just had to initiate using them then people would have realized what they were for!

@@TinkerSofi - Haha I didn't stop the guests from drinking but I did threaten several of my husband's friends (and my husband) that I'd kill them if they got Tony drunk and to save it for the wedding.  He can drink way too much and is a mess the next day - I didn't want him hungover our wedding day.  Actually we were toward the end of the week and we'd been pretty much alternating a heavy drinking day w/ a recovery day all week, so I think most people wanted to save it for the wedding!  And it paid off - our wedding was a blast.  We had the waiters bringing shot after shot all night

He might kill me but here's him on the dance floor :D.  He actually TORE his brand new suit pants doing one of his moves haha

OMG I'm loving this!! Your review is just awesome and I love the pics!!! I can't wait to see all the wedding details. I'm glad the coordinator team went above and beyond for you. That's important when you have everything on the line from rain and I'm so glad it worked out!

We travel with mugs too. You get double what they give you and saves you sitting waiting on a server or getting up too often! We've just come home from 11 days of travel to the east coast and back and I watched my phone every day to see when you were back and coming back on the site with some news!

Without going back through your thread again, remind me who did your pictures? I'm anxious to see them. Just the couple that you posted from your phone you looked amazing!

Haha if I could find a way to upload them all I would!

Yes I used Lancelotti photography - not popular on these boards at all. I went w him because I liked the softness of his pics and because he was priced very well!

Discovered Miami Vices last year in Cabo San Lucas for my work trip - it was the drink of choice for the week!!  A big reason why I gained like 10lbs LOL :)  Love the reviews - keep the pictures coming!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
