Hello ladies!

Back from our awesome week at Disney World. It wasn't relaxing at all (is Disney ever??) but we had a fantastic time and got to experience some new things - the Food and Wine festival at Epcot and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!  We had a blast - especially at the Halloween party and we're planning on going next year around Christmas time :).  We wore "just engaged" buttons even though it's been a while, but we wanted to celebrate our engagement there and cast members there are so nice when you're celebrating something.

Funny thing happened. We were waiting for the parade to start at Magic Kingdom when one of the photopass photographers came up to us and asked if we were brother and sister. We were like err no - engaged and pointed to our buttons.  So he asked us if we wanted some great pictures and told us to put the video tape setting on our camera. He then led us to the street and told our whole section of the crowd that Anthony had something special to ask me.  We realized what was happening here and we were both probably extremely red faced because we both hate being centre of attention. So Tony got down on one knee and proposed again to me :).  We were both dying and cracking up which is why we look so funny in the pictures -  We said after if people watching us thought it was real, they'd probably think it was the most unromantic thing because we were both cracking up the whole time and he's even doing his flex shot in one of the pics haha.  We got some great pics out of it and it's a really fun memory

Here are some pics of our second "engagement" and us as Mario and Luigi at the halloween party w/ Pooh and friends in costume!  My FI would be so embarassed if he knew I posted these haha - I'm not allowed to on FB :P

On to my shopping!  I ordered a ton of things and sent them to our hotel to take advantage of US prices and cheap shipping! This is probably my last big shopping haul before our wedding but I might do one more Buffalo run - we shall see

All of our boxes and the pretty BHLDN packaging:

packages.png

My TTD and Church wedding dress - Jenny Yoo's Annabelle from BHLDN in blush.  I'm pretty happy with the dress!  I just need to get it hemmed and find a sash - thinking maybe a black one?

ttd.png

Here it is with the BHLDN capelet.  I like the capelet in it's on right but I'm not sure if it really works w/ this dress - not loving the colour contrast.  What do you ladies think?  This would be to cover my shoulders up in church and for some pics

capelet.png

My Kate Spade wedding shoes!  These were a success.  They have a small heel which is perfect for me - didn't want to go too high for our wedding day

shoes.png

You can see the shoes on in this pic below.  I got this getting ready robe from etsy (uBride) a while ago but I finally got around to taking a pic of it.  It might be one of my favourite purchases!  Very nice silky cotton fabric and I love the way it photographs.  Best of all, it was really cheap - cost me just $20 US + shipping

A bit of stuff for my FI.  We ordered his + groomsmen socks (his are a light pink and grey stripe, groomsmen are pink - Argylesocks.us), and his bow tie and pocket square (tiebar.com).  My FI said he's going to have to google how to tie a bow tie :)

Here is our cake topper from Etsy (BetterOffWed).  We love the song from Jack Johnson so we chose this phrase.  It's very well made but it's a lot smaller than I expected... I also kind of wish I had ordered a glittery one.  Ah well.  It shipped really quickly and was packaged beautifully.  Not sure if it's worht the price I paid for it (!) but at the time it was something I "had" to have and it was appeasing me after deciding the lollipop workshop one was too expensive

Here are some miscellaneous things for our OOT bags, and a instax mini 8 camera in white and 60 shots of film.  We're going to do a polaroid style guestbook!

Here's our wedding album that I'm also going to use as a gift to my FI.  We're huge Disney fans (see above) so I found this album on Etsy (SlightlyEmbellished) that makes a replica of the adventure book that Carl and Ellie had from Up!  I'm going to do a mini scrapbook of pics of the 2 of us for the first half, then after the "Stuff We're Going to Do" heading we're going to use it as a wedding guestbook. I'm going to put it on a table with some washi tape and acid free pens for people to take pics, stick them in the book then write messages to us.  I think my FI will like it a lot.  I didn't want to spend a ton of money and I'm too camera shy to do a boudoir album

Oh and here are our cups! I finally took the labels off, washed them and put the etsy stickers (Davetdesigns) on.  Thanks to calgarybride2014 for the blow dryer tip! They came off no problem and super quick.  Stuck them all in the dishwasher to wash them which probably wasn't the best idea as they're kind of cloudy now :( .  Ah well.  Going to add people's initials to the top w/ some vinyl alphabet stickers I got from Staples

And lastly, this is something I'm hoping you ladies can advise me on!  I've been designing our program fans using free templates I found online.  Which do you think better suits our wedding?  The first more romantic one or the second more modern/typography one?  My FI likes the second because it's more fun and my mom the first because it's more elegant.  I'm going to tie a black and white striped ribbon on the top of the craft stick

Thanks ladies! :)

Welcome back!

Glad you had a great vacation - sounds awesome!  Love the re-proposal :)

Everything is looking great.

not sure if it's the colors of the computer, but I don't think the cover up looks bad at all.

I think it and the dress look great!!!!

I personally prefer the second program, and think you should share your source in case I decide to do one hahaha!

I just love the fun, upbeat'ness (yes I made a word) of it, which shows your personalities.

Thanks! I do want to thank you for mentioning you washed them all (sans making them cloudy).

I was going to wash all mine and fiance thought everyone would wash the cups themselves first because of the hangover kits being in them.  I am washing them anyways lol

Welcome back! Glad to hear Disney was great!

I LOVE all your stuff!!! The dress is gorgeous, and I really like the capelet. I think the fact that it's a bit of a different colour helps it stand out a little. I think the two look really pretty together! the shoes.... love them and I really love the colour!! and the robe too!! Would you be willing to share where the robe is from? I love it!!

The cups are great. I wish I could do them too, but I don't know how practical it is for between 6 and 10 people. But yours turned out great!! I love script writing in any style so I'm a sucker for the romantic one. I think it's looks really nice.

Wow - it's getting really close now. You're so organized!!

@@calgarybride2015 - If you have the time and patience, hand wash them!  Made a huge difference.  The washing machine also warped some of them (plastic) so I had to go out and buy like 10 new ones!  Good thing I put the stickers on after

We don't have a dishwasher :( so hand washing it will be. That really sucks you had to buy more, but thankfully you found some!!!

@@acw271011 - Thank you!

You should definitely still do the cups for your reneweal!  Your guests will love it, and the price is fairly cheap

Not at all - the robe is from Ubride on Etsy. I ordered the beige floral one in Medium

@@calgarybride2015 - I was worried about finding more but the sales attendant at Dollarama told me they're apparently stocked year round!  Just a fyi in case anything happens :).  I broke a few straws dropping them (I'm a klutz) so the spares came in handy for parts

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
