Any Wedding Dress Regrets?

Recommended Posts

My wedding is 127 days away...I have an app that counts it down. I had really wanted to lose some weight before I bought a dress.  I tried a few on and it was so depressing, I hated how I looked.  Now I am starting to panic that I won't get one in time.  I tend to procrastinate a lot!

@@Sara1603 Keep looking I'm sure you will find something you love! Once you have a style that works best for you then do whatever you do to make you feel good or more positively about your appearance! They can always take it in. Stay positive and keep searching!

Thank you Lia33. You're right I just need to start looking. And get serious about losing some weight.

I'm so relieved to read this thread! I bought my dress a few months ago and it won't be ready until January. I second-guessed myself for awhile because it's not what I pictured myself in originally, but I really love it and get more excited about it as the wedding gets closer. But I still see dresses on Facebook and wonder if I should have gotten something more simple, and I had it stop watching Say Yes To The Dress too :) Hopefully at the first fitting I'll fall in love with it all over again!

@@Soon2beMrsJ  I can definitely relate - but instead of more simple I wonder if I should go for more elaborate lol But you fell in love with your dress for a reason! So I'm sure you will fall in love with it all over again :-)

  • 2 weeks later...

Say Yes to the Dress definitely makes you second guess your choice. Everytime I watch it I start wondering if I picked the right dress and then relook at pictures of the gown. So far I fall in love with it again and again.

I am worried that I may have regrets as the wedding gets closer. I only paid $200 so if I change my mind it won't be horrible but I still try not to look at any pictures of myself in my dress or any other dress (most I can't afford so not a problem lol).

I am addicted to Say Yes to the Dress. I think that is most of my problem...lol My dress should be here the last two weeks of September. I can't wait for it to get here just to see it in person again and try it one.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
