Any Wedding Dress Regrets?

Recommended Posts

Haha! I had to laugh at your "bum" comment. I'm the exact same way - bigger in the backside and my fiance loves it. I DID end up with a dress that I love that very much accentuates my booty, but I'm still not sure he'll like it! He is very particular about "fashion" so it is a complete gamble with him!

@@MissJen3 I do the same. I have it at home because my fiance and i don't live together yet :) so sometimes I'll try it on again and all my doubts are gone. Another thing that helped is that every time I see a dress online and I'm like, "oh i love that one", it looks like mine hahha.

The only thing that bummed me out the other day, my fiance was trying to get me to tell him what the dress looked like (he's so impatient he doesn't like surprises haha) and I wouldn't budge but I asked him what he thought it looked like. He said, "well I don't think it will be puffy, think it's going to be tight and with little sleeves". HA! nothing like my dress. I know that he wanted something tight on me because I have a pretty big bum and he likes it hahah but I tried on mermaid dresses and I liked them, but I didn't love them. I liked them more for the fact that I knew he was going to love it, rather than me loving them (if that makes any sense at all). Now I know that I love the dress, but I hope he does too :(

You made the right choice at one point of time you loved the dress and these secondary thoughts keeps coming, so do not think so much. One of my friend was also baceme tensed with same thoughts and when the day arrived she looked beautiful and flattering as well :) ..Best Wishes!

I think that for me, this is the first time in my life that I will be using control top panty.....sigh. I really need to get off my arse and go to the gym more in the future, it's too late now since its 7 days til the wedding, but at least the undies will help!!!

you will look beautiful to your future hubby so don't sweat it. For me I know I'm putting all this pressure on myself because I want to look good on photos but my fiance keeps telling me that I look good and that I don't need to worry. We are honestly our own worst critics.

He fell in love with you just the way you are ;)

We are our own worst critics... I was very nervous before our engagement shots and I was for nothing!!!

And trust me, you could walk about in a paper bag and your fiance will be fighting back tears!

Definitely thinking I maybe shouldn't have gotten the dress I got ugh

Why? You took your time to decide... Maybe put it on to remind yourself why you fell in love with it? I had to do that a few times.

@@malyna I had to do the same as @@calgarybride2015. The other day we went bridesmaid dress shopping and I was like "no, must not look at any more wedding dresses!" haha, otherwise the doubt always comes in your mind as to whether you could have found something better and I think it's normal for everyone. Honestly I love mine and when I put it on I have no doubts at all. If you try it on and it still doesn't give you that feeling of "holy crap I look good!" then maybe consider changing it. As my fiance says, you could always find something better if you look for long enough, but are you happy with the decision you made?

My biggest regret is not trying on more dresses haha, but i've always been like that, I find what I like right away. I know some girls who literally tried on hundreds of dresses and became more undecided with each one.

I also regret not trying on more dresses and completely agree about putting blinders on when in any type of bridal store! haha

The only thing that makes me feel better is that every time I like a dress, it looks like mine haha.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
