But the glue for the professional ones didn't?! You have totally convinced me! I wasn't even thinking about this & now I am doing it for sure.
I just found a place by my house that offers them for $25. Though that cheap of a price makes me a bit concerned - is it too cheap?

Hahaha, Jules, look what you started! I am making calls to get them in the next 2 weeks or so for a wedding we have on the 23rd. I want to test them out for my wedding, cuz I have lashes like snuffaluffagus, they come straight down. but they aren't long or black. They are practically blonde and average length, so they suck. I can't wait to get it done. Yay for Julie starting a new beauty trend!

No, the glue they used did not come off, I still have them on and I got them done exactly 3 weeks ago today. I swam a lot, showered a lot and put lotion on my face a lot. I also put on and took off a lot of make up and used eyecream everyday. So, they stay put.

$25 does sound kinda cheap, but maybe they just want to make the price cheap so that people will try it out, its kind of a crazy thing and if you don't hear about it from someone else, you might never try it. So, they want people to try it and love it and spread the word, then raise the price. This is just my guess though. lol Maybe go in for a conslutation first and see what the place looks like and if you can get some before and after pics from them.

I really did not start the trend, I read about it in a magazine, lol. I am the first BDW bride to do it I think, but that is all. I really think everyone should do it though, I like them that much.

The cool thing is if you like them, then you just go back to have them fixed, like when some fall out, and that is pretty cheap, my place charges $3 per lash section that needs to be replaced. So the cost might be a lot at first, but its pretty cheap to maintain them.

1 thing I wanted to tell you all is the first few days were odd, sleeping on them and putting on sunglasses and stuff like that, but then you get used to them. They are also kinda stiff when you first get them, but after a few days they soften and look more natural.

Hmm this is an interesting idea. I always use fake eyelashes if I have any event to dress up for. The really cheap $8 kind. Most people don't realize they are fake either.

For Halloween I wore some ridiculous long ones and people kept asking if they were real. I should post a pic of them because it was so obvious they were fake. I was like Dang, if I can pull these ones off then they won't notice on the softer, more life like ones.

However I do like the idea of getting some that would last the whole vacation- not just a day.

Does it do any harm to your natural lashes? LIke when they come off, do you lose some of your natural ones? I'd hate to be bald after that. lol

No, they do not harm your real lashes, that was my first question. You can go and get them removed when you are done with them and they use some glue remover that does not harm your lashes and if they fall out on their own they also do not harm your lashes, the glue just comes loose. I can tell you for sure after, but I know in the spots where I did lose them already, my lashes look fine.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
