Ok, here are the pics. Please don't mind how crappy they are and just look at only the lashes! I forgot to have my sis take the pic for me, so when I got out of the shower, I just took them myself. Oh, I also lost one while washing my face this morning. So that's not good, but we'll see how they hold up.

Damn, pics where HUGE, I tried to resize, but it never seems to work, so let's see....

They look great. You should not have lost one already though. I say call them and tell them and get them to fix it. That is not cool. Not that we can tell, but I you want them to be good since you paid for them.

FYI you are not supposed to wear mascara at all, so I hope she is not wearing any :)

Ok ladies. I have bad news. I haven't worn any makeup and I have been extremely gentle while washing and drying my face. I haven't even washed my eyes trying to be careful! BUT, almost every lash on my right side is gone. Ok, not every one, but about half. I have lost a few from my left.

Day 1 - felt kinda cool, but also like a prostitute (they felt so obvious)

Day 2 - wanted to rip them off

Day 3 & 4 - they were comfortable and I thought they looked good

Day 5 - cool, but I could see that some were lose when I looked real close

Day 6 & 7 - dropping like flies

I called last Wednesday to let them know that one fell out, I got voicemail and I left my work number and my cell number. No one called me back. You are supposed to get one refill for free, but I am not sure I want to bother refilling them. They are really annoying right now, half in and half out.

Since they barely lasted 6 days, I don't think I would do this for Jamaica since I will be there 9. I am going to test out some other options though. Perhaps dyeing them or perming them. I am glad I did this and all, cuz I didn't wear makeup to the wedding, but honestly, I can apply them myself and get a day out of them as opposed to $80 and getting 5 days.

I do sleep on my sides, but I tried to be extra careful. Oh well. I am glad I tried it, but I don't think I would do it again. Unless maybe I would try a different salon. Humpf.

That really sucks Carly. I must have had totally different ones because I was pretty rough on mine and they lasted a long time. Mine were called eye lash extensions, I wonder if that is different then what you got? Sorry you have such a bad experience I am glad you did them now though and not for your wedding.

Yeah, me too. And I really wouldn't say it was a bad experience. And these were called eyelash extensions as well, supposed to last 3 wks, but not this time! I am so glad I tried it though! I wouldn't be opposed to trying it at another salon, cuz I think they looked great, but they didn't last as they should have.

  • 3 weeks later...

Carly - I never saw your last few posts about this. I actually was at a different salon today in the city - Salon 130 on Chestnut and they had a sign up about them. They are only $35 and supposedly last 2-4 weeks. I actually got a glue test for them today because I was considering getting them for the wedding. After seeing your post, I may not though. I'd hate to get them done and have them be half off by the day on my wedding. I guess I could try them now and then get them for the wedding if they worked. We'll see and I'll let you know if I do it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
