I am so torn on this one! I think the first look would allow me to cry my little heart out and then get it together for my ceremony (I'm definitely a crier haha) but at the same time theres the whole "seeing the bride before the wedding" tradition and seeing his face while he's standing there

I agree. I just can't bring myself to do the first look. He will be in tears and I am sure this will put me in tears and possibly ruin my pictures lol but I can't imagine it any other way.

My fiance and I decided we don't want to do the first look.  We are going to be traditional about it and wait to see each other at the ceremony when i'm finally walking down the aisle.  Our plan is for him to hang with his groomsmen while I hang out with my sisters and bridesmaids getting pampered all day then get both our reaction when we finally see each other.  The funny thing is we'll actually be married already but I think its more all the emotions of the day that will take over. lol   I'm doing the civil/church ceremony tomorrow so it'll be official I can't believe it, then 13 days until we leave for Cancun!

I have not talked to my fiancé about it yet but I think that I personally am against it for myself. I don't plan on doing hours and hours of pictures and our ceremony is at 3pm. plus that is how I always pictured it.. seeing him at the front of the aisle.

@@NJBride2014 Exciting!!! I agree, even though you will technically be married already, it's all about the emotion and excitement of the full ceremony. I will already be married by the time we have our DW but also don't want us to see each other until the actual ceremony. Congratulations ;-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
