Shoes! Shoes! Shoes!

Recommended Posts

I was thinking the same. I saw one on babyonline and I absolutely love it. I keep going back to it. But I want to try some on just to see if the style suits me. It's a bit nerve racking ordering a dress I've never tried on, but worst case i'll try selling it and it's really cheap so it's not the end of the world.

I think we have a lot in common!

I ordered a custom dress online, from eBay, direct from a factory in China. I was really nervous at first but it turned out AMAZING. It was just under $150 with shipping and had $55 bill from seamstress for a couple of minor alterations (adding a train pick up/bustle, steaming, minor tweaks here and there)! I most definitely was NOT going to spend more on shoes than I did on my dress, just couldn't do it LOL. (love that shoe site though - if you knew EXACTLY what you wanted and couldn't find it, what better then to have it made -so long as you are ok with the price tag lol)

I kept searching for the right shoes and figured I'd just end up going barefoot (but then decided the sand might be way too *&%%^$^% hot at 2pm).

Then a couple weeks ago, not looking for shoes at all... I was in Walmart and found the PERFECT pair! They are silvery metallic, flip flop style top with rhinestone jewels on the straps, and have a bit of a wedge heel! They are not full wedges, but they are soo cute! For $20 I think I got a steal of a deal! I just snapped a quick pic of them - attached.

I also bought these cute flip flops for after the ceremony that leave 'just married' imprinted in the sand: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Just-Married-White-Bride-Flip-Flops-Something-Blue-Wedding-Bridal-Shower-Gift-/400408844478?pt=US_Women_s_Shoes&var=&hash=item5d3a3a18be

This is another idea: DIY shoes. Finding a pair of white wedges and then pimping them up with lace and other fancy things. This youtube video gave me the idea, it seems pretty simple https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fE-cEVAsRZM

And that my friends is 150!!!

@@Lilian84 Yes, was almost going for Maggie Sottero Tracey... the price is $1,700 plus alterations. I will order it because I dont feel completely crazy about that dress or any dress. People say "you will find it" I cannot find the dress I am falling in love with :(

I have to order basically ASAP if I want a Maggie dress...all are supper big on me and I think that is one of the reasons why.

@@bkprettygirl  are you thinking flats, heels, or wedges? It's not as easy as I thought to find a fancy wedge sandal. I'm going shopping in a few weeks to try dresses on the 'bridal street' in Montreal, they have a lot of shoe stores so I will check them out.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
