So far, I haven't had a problem. But I was just assigned a wedding coordinator. I haven't emailed her yet. I got a response within a day or two for confirmation of wedding date availability with this email address for Irma Leonor Tejeda Zamudio: groupsmx4@bahia-principe.com

The coordinator I was assigned to (Tulum hotel's, even though I already told them we are planning on Coba) is groupsmx3@bahia-principe.com. Her name is Alana. I just emailed them to see if I keep her for Coba planning.

What all planning have you gotten done so far? I am just starting but my sister had a destination wedding in 2004 at Gran Palladium so I have a fuzzy idea of what to expect.

Actually... I haven't gotten ANY planning done! It's VERY frustrating! Irma sent me an e-mail as well, but the coordinator doesn't respond! I don't know if my wedding is still too far out for her to care about me or what... but it's annoying!

As far as flower and wedding locations, I think you pick those out when you get down there, unless you have a specific location request. I think it is too far out for any menu or reception planning. However, the WC should at least email you to let you know she is still working on things.

I actually am having my reception by the pool instead of the reception which is included. Because of that I'd like her to e-mail me back confirming! I'm really nervous I'll get down there and she would have given away the reception site! Ah well I guess.

Email Irma and tell her what problems you've encountered. Maybe she is higher on the chain of command than the WC. I would think that the pool location wouldn't book up too fast. Besides, there are quite a few pools in the resort complex, right? Now that I've gotten started on planning, I just want it to be time to go to Mexico. And I have an entire year, to the day. Patience was never my strong suit.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
