Anyone Getting Married At Dreams Las Mareas

Recommended Posts

  • 5 weeks later...

Hey past brides and future brides!!  I am recently engaged and we are not planning on getting married until the end of 2017 or beginning of 2018, so I know I have a lot of time  :D

I was looking into Mexico locations for our future wedding but I keep dreaming of Costa Rica!

I have been to Costa Rica before and stayed at the RIU Palace Guanacaste in 2014. It was a nice resort but looking for something different for our wedding.

Is anyone willing to share pics? I also sent a request to the link on page 5 =)

Thank you ladies in advance!!

I got married this past April at Dreams Las Mareas in Guanacaste. It was absolutely amazing! The reviews for the RIU weren't that great on TripAdvisor when I was researching a venue but I can't tell you first hand since I didnt visit the hotel.

The Dreams officially opened in January so its brand new and beautiful. Beach isn't white sand and there are sting rays to be careful of but we mostly stayed at the pools which are lovely. I really had the time of my life and would recommend Cinthya, my coordinator, to anyone. it is very removed and remote location but if you are looking for a more chill and relaxing time then this is for you.

Awesome! Congratulations!! Are you able to email me pictures? I want to know everything lol

I am not really interested in getting married on the beach..I do not like sand at all! But I would like a ceremony space that has a nice view and also a reception area that has air conditioning!

Do you have the packets or pictures Dreams sent you if you do not want to share your own personal pictures?

I need to know hair, makeup, photography...i dno what else?! lol

Can anyone tell me how their experience was?

I'm getting married there on November 7th and we are leaving in 6 weeks! We have had ENDLESS issues with this resort and I am so nervous. Besides the communication issues and not replying to us, we are now dealing with Daniel, the wedding manager that replaced Connie and we STILL have nothing finalized.  He gave our ceremony location to another couple and now they are throwing all these extra costs at us.  This is no longer fun and I just want to cancel my wedding and say forget it :(

I see a lot of people having the same experiences but then coming back saying it was great.  Please let me know if you can .

Hello Ladies!

I can't believe it took me this long to find this forum!!! My wedding is just 5 months away and i am dying to get things finalized, still trying to obtain quotes and secure a DJ. I just sent a request for the FB group page!! Any bit of advice is greatly appreciated!! i am also undecided between La Arboleda beach and Santa Helena beach for the ceremony. The arboleda seems nice but in my opinion it looks like the trees get in the way or block the beach and santa helena looks way more open. Ideally i would love the ceremony pics to have the ocean in the background without any thing getting in the way of the view. I'm relieved to hear that everyone seemed to have a fabulous experience. Please help!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
